Hi, I've been following your thread for badminton in Kansas City area and I'm really interested in finding out more information. Do guest need a gym member to be able to play and what are the fees to play in the KU campus? What are the average skill levels? Is there coaching available? Is there a great amount of people that turn up to play badminton based on the scheduled court hours? I'm looking forward to hearing your response. Thanks!
If you need a member to sign you in as a guest to KU badminton, I can try to arrange, email me: pauyingc@yahoo.com
Badminton in Overland Park Location: http://www.athleticclubop.com/ Playing Hours: Fri: 06:30p - 09:00p Sat: 12:00p - 02:00p Sun: 03:00p - 08:00p Shuttle: Yonex Mavis 2000 (nylon); Feather rarely because of expense Membership Info: You can swing by one of these days to check it out. Generally, the front-desk has been very good at allowing newcomers to play a session or two before deciding on a membership. Although the club offers all kinds of amenities, some of us who visit only for badminton were offered reduced rates without any contract (although we're still allowed to use all the features). You will be asked to contact the Manager (Laura) for specifics. Additional: We skip Saturdays if there is going to be a low turnout but otherwise play every Friday & Sunday. In general, most of us are at an intermediate-level. If you want to play twice or thrice every week (7+ hours) at a convenient OP location, you may want to try this out. Regards
