When u added an additional overgrip, that should put u around 900..that's should fit most of the beginner-intermediate players. But if u r intermediate, then u can reduce the length overgrip or not using it n make it to the 900.It'll feel much harder to control n uncomfy, but for the price u paid,it'll make ur smashes harder(heavier head). So,it's all depends on ur need.I supposed if u use T,then u want a better comfort n control.Bcos if u're looking for a harder smash, then u're supposed to use the P,which its shaft is stiffer.
Damn..after few modifications on the grip..this AT900T suddenly turn out as a beast..far more powerful than before. Before,i just add an overgrip, without doing anything to the original grip. The rasult was lazy,no power at smashing, clears r preety effortless though.Overall, this racket was all round, except for the power! Many of ppl might feel this as well. But things changed after i did some modifications, advised by some ppl in this forum.I took off the original grip plastic, and i change my overgrip to a thinner one..n the result was AMAZING!Smashes r much much harder n clears r much easier.A full court clears yet fast r effortless. You guys should try it as well.
intended on At900T, now, concluded on At900P....... from your previous racket, indeed that you need more time to suit it.
try to take off the plastic wrap on the grip n if needed, add a thin overgrip..u'll feel much better playing it.
i just found out that TH is still using his AT900-T during the Macao open, instead of AT900-P.Was he really changed his racket?
Yes, I ordered for AT900T but they called me and told that they had no stock. So, I just picked up da AT900P. BTW, I love it. The feel, the power are just amazing. . Just play once with new racket. Need more time to suit since AT900P and NS8k are totally different. .
plastic wrap? did u meant da black in color of grip? I already put on a towel grip on the original 1. Mine is 4UG5. .
the one that they put the sticker,barcode..take that off,n apply a thin overgrip over the original one.
it's almost no effect at all IMO, mine do the same also. Previously use thick overgrip karakal super pu, but now i switch to wilson pro that very thin.
hehe..works on me kok sifu..I used a thick grip before, then switched to thinner one.Minimizing the weight below.
oo .. u meant the plastic (transparent) la. Yes, I removed it but the black color grip is still there. Thinking to take black grip off. what do u guys think? since I do not like the thick grip .. mine 1 is quite thick .. black grip + towel grip ..
u wanna do it like LD?took off everything n just apply a towel grip over?hehe..that'd be deadly, but the question is would u feel comfy with it? The point is,reduce the thickness if it's too thick n add some more to make it comfy..as long as it's not reducing the head heavy character of a racket。It depends on the player..
erm .. i didnt that LD did it. .. btw, how to reduce the thickness of towel grip without remove the ori black grip? is any way?
When u buy an overgrip or a replacement grip, they usually come in a longer length than what u might need. So,in order to reduce the thickness of any grip,in ur case towel grip, just apply a single layer, from the bottom to the top,n cut the rest.About the ori black grip, that depends. They usually came stapled already. If u wanna took them off, then u have to remove the stap first.Just remember,u dont wanna have ur grip too thin,n too thick..since it'll affect ur game.Just have what u need.
FYI..this is what LD did.. Pay enough attention then u'll see the difference.Wonder why he did that?He didnt even wrap the whole grip, just some part where he usually hold the racket on.
hey man, i got AT900P in malaysia but the problem is the shop din give me the warranty card .. is it normal? 1 more thing is it did not comes with black small beg with armotec word on it .. they gave me an orange yonex beg .. ..
