Nice ..... Those were the days when I was not yet the, ahem, neutral fan I am now ...... wakakakaka. It was nice, being at the ferocious Stadium Negara doing battle against a strong Indonesian supporter base - all in good spirits, of course. By the time this match ended, Rashid Sidek almost had to be carried off court by Punch Gunalan, he was so dead tired ....... now that's commitment to win that match at all costs. Good thing too, 'cos Malaysia lost the first doubles match when Jalani Sidek had to take the court with high fever.
I always goto MO during Stadium Negara days. Seeing players sweat like nobody biz.. super humid. I think the atmosphere is nicer there. If they can put aircond, it will be nice. Actually, msia still can qualify if they play it right. Crazy to admit loss before even playing. Who knows there are injuries in other teams or messed up strategies?? Team event is very dynamic and this is where it get interesting.
http://www.hmetro.com.my/myMetro/articles/2012020601234320120206012343/Article/index_html Tan Sri Elyas Omar, ex BAM President, i.e. BAM President when Msia last won TC in 1992, giving his comments. He's shooting at BAM, esp Mr Ng for 'TC not so important' comment.
Will Ng Chin Chai say that the Olympics is not important next? . I like what Tan Sri Elyas Omar asked; Will Ng Chin Chai say that the Olympics is not important after Lee Chong Wei has retired? .
Yeah, I lol when I read that part chris. The one in BH more sting, he told the management step down if fail to qualify http://www.bharian.com.my/bharian/articles/2012020607241720120206072417/Article/index_html http://www.bharian.com.my/bharian/articles/ElyasbidasBAMtiadaprogram/Article
Does anyone think or has anyone thought about how Ng Chin Chai's last 2 names is synonymous with the work he has accomplished - 'chin chai' done? This thing has lit up a light in my mind ever since his name was mentioned but I didn't think it will come and has come to this stage of mess.
Hey, dude...that was the name his parents gave him and that's about it. It may seem to you chin chai, easy, easy lah and you may laugh about it...that chap is a lawyer who know nothing much about international badminton, only know what a lawyer knows how to milk the system and before you know it, you and the rest of the rakyat will be like fishes being gobbled up and only bones left
With Capten Chin Chai practically putting his own neck into the noose, I reckon being politically correct is the furthest from everyone else's minds. That being said, the reference made about his working capabilities IS an ironic coincidence to his name. Not to poke fun in any way. Besides there are far more ways to do that. I rest my case.
It's pretty obvious that he is seen as the clown now within BAM. Anyway, he still has the last laugh with the mulla...
wooo hooo... my doubles prediction is correct!!!! Yeeeeehaaaa !!! Syabas! It is time to fire off NCC the big mouth.
leading 3-1 currently.. which means they are the champion of the group.. congratz.. was shocked to see our doubles can steal 2 points from Korea.. anyway, time to forget about relying on hh yoyo.. its better to give elite player chance to play..
MAS will now surely advance to the SF and guarantees its spot in Wuhan. Credits to the 2 MD pairs....being able to win both pts against the Korean pairs.
For all you know, Malaysia could be the 'Finalist' in TC finals. They could be seeded 2nd. If JJS comes back, then it will be tough for Malaysia. See, in a Team tournament, it is hard to predict. There's always some injuries. Who is that smart fellow that 'gave up before playing'??? kekeke... sack him!
looks like both MAS thomas and uber cup team advanced to QF and gonna face India and Thailand respectively... here's the hero for MAS team from the beginning of the event: Goh V Shem/Lim Khim Wah (beating Lee Yong Dae/Shin Baek Choel to win a crucial team point) Yang Li Lian (make a comeback to take a final point for MAS team) Goh Liu Ying/Lim Yin Loo (snatch one point from formidable China team although lost 1-4)
There's always heroes and villians. Especially NCC for opening his foul mouth. As for Hafiz, can't blame him much due to injury. I still don't like the idea of putting an injured player to play. I think TKH reads this forum correct? National doubles chief coach Tan Kim Her was thrilled that his gamble to stick with the original line-up worked as they managed to hurt South Korea where it mattered most – their doubles department. “Our victory today comes down to excellent team work. Koo and Tan’s win over their nemesis should give them a lot of confidence. The players and coaches did a lot of video analysis and today, Koo-Tan played the right strategy to nail them,” said Kim Her. “I am happy that Khim Wah-V Shem also played a fantastic match to upset the Koreans. They did not give up despite losing the opening game but continued to pressure the Koreans. Their performances augurs well for the future.” Ah Her..... (sounds like pondan), pls identify yourself..... lol.
the new year means nothing to BAM.. its the same old same old http://thestar.com.my/sports/story.asp?file=/2012/4/10/sports/11077313&sec=sports [h=1]Disastrous outing for national players[/h][h=2][/h] PETALING JAYA: Malaysia had the largest group of players abroad over the last one week but none of them used it as a platform for a breakthrough. In the Australian Open Grand Prix Gold, the mixed doubles pair of Chan Peng Soon and Goh Liu Ying were the top performers when they reached the final before losing to Taiwan’s Chen Hung-ling-Cheng Wen-hsing. The back-up pairs of Lim Khim Wah-Goh V Shem and Hoon Thien How-Teo Kok Siang had been expected to do well but both performed below expectations in Sydney. All three pairs will get a chance to make amends at next week’s Asian Badminton Championships in Qingdao but it will be difficult as hosts China will be fielding all their top players. Malaysian players also featured in – the Osaka International Challenge and French International — but again failed to win anything. Misbun Ramdan Misbun reached his first final at the French International but is still struggling to beat players ranked in the world top 30. Three others — Goh Soon Huat, Iskandar Zul*karnain Zainuddin and Loh Wei Sheng — did not go beyond the last eight. All four players will get another chance in the Dutch International this week. It was a total disaster in the Osaka Challenge as none of the Malaysians made it to the final. The more experienced Vountus Indra Mawan-Mohd Lutfi Zaim Abdul Khalid went down 14-21, 22-24 to Indonesia’s Gideon Markus Fernaldi-Agripinna Prima Rahmanto Putra in the semi-finals.
