Korea is the only team with a realistic chance to try and topple China. Uphill task but if all their doubles partnerships click ......... it could work. It happened before in 2003, although that one major pt came from LHI's defeat of Chen Hong.

The rest of the teams could only be expected to win at most 2 pts from China.

Ko SH & Yoo YS is 1 of the Korean pairs (minus gender ) that i find quite decent to watch apart from Lee YD & Jung JS & Lee YD & Lee HJ

    Really??..

..again, as i asked, what is it based on?? Have you looked at their record this yr? For one, i can tell you there's another (non-CHN) pair, other than the KOR #1 WD pair, which has done better than the current WD WR#1, this yr.
Please read my question again, i'm only asking for this yr's record/stats; not last yr's or the yr before.

Maybe only against the other top few MD pairs in the world, but even then they can win that one on a good day. But yes that would definitely be the one that other teams would have to take!

Maybe AlanY was basing on their performance late last year, came close to beating a not so match fit Du Jing/Yu Yang in France.

Even the MAS girls knew that the WR1 came as a fluke of the BWF pts system. This is not to say that the girls are not among the best pairs in the world, but the fitness level and injury problems of Chin Eei Hui limited their progress. Against top CHN and KOR opposition in a highly competitive match, the MAS girls can only sustain 2 1/2 games.

Then again, looking at the progress of the last few months, it is extremely unlikely for any non-CHN pair to beat a CHN WD pair in the Sudirman Cup. TPE and KOR girls included.
