Hmm.. I wear US13 adidas/nike/mizuno/newbalance/converse shoes so that means that I would need to look for the US12 Yonex shoes ? Darn it, the shops in Japan only have up to 29cm/US11 yonex shoes.. And the Yonex shoes here in NewZealand are total rip-offs, nearly three times the price of the ones in Japan. Do Yonex ratings go by the length of the feet? like for example I wore US12/30cm yonex shoes once and it fitted me quite well, since my left feet's length is 29cm and the right is 28.5cm, and that I need about 1cm of extra space by my toes..
Very true. Here are a couple of stats Code: Size Listed Weight Actual weight Asics Gel-Rocket III 13 10.8 13.6 Asics Gel-Rocket 4 14 11.0 16.0 New Balance 621 13 14.1 18.4 Unfortunately I'm currently using the New Balances at 18.4oz. So anything will be an improvement
Hard to say, I wear a US13 in New Balance (EU47.5, UK12.5, 31cm). I got my hands on a pair of Yonex SHB-100MX in US13 (EU47, UK12.5, 31cm) and they are long enough. Both the New Balance US13 and the Yonex US13 were 31cm. So I'd say that if you want 30cm then you probably want a Yonex US12. The Yonex SHB-100MX's may not be wide enough for my foot though. I have recently discovered that my left foot is significantly wider than my right foot. I put in a SF-Blue and that helped a little (I think that my foot flattens without arch support) but they are still really tight. I remember someone saying that the Yonex shoes stretch quite a bit but right now I'd say that my left foot is on the edge of painfully tight. Any ideas on how much they will stretch? Ahh.. thanks btw i heard that there are two versions of SHB99LTD's, the ones without power cushion cost much less, and the ones with power cushion, as the supplier didnt have the one with power cushion one, i ordered the cheaper one without the power cushion and then ordered a SFG =/
Hi DinkAlot! I just purchased some SFO and I'm curious what you mean regarding the stability and balance of wearing these vs. SFG. Is it the extra padding in them that makes you less balanced? Perhaps a difference in arch support between the two? Any help would be appreciated, as I still have time to return the SFO for SFG . Thanks!
DinkALot, I would like to ask what are the differences between SHB99 - SHB100. I heard shb100 are potentially bigger but how much different it is? I wear a size10 shb99mx right now. I tried on those Super Feet today and I dont find them any special. What are they suppose to affect my game or mouvements?
Has anyone tried this Gel Insole from Dr. Scholl's? http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=10418610 They are available from Wal-Mart and Target in USA.
For me, the feeling is a bit disconcerting. The gel and possibly the fabric they use allows my foot to move slightly more than I'm accustomed to. The gel also doesn't absorb moisture so the insole feels clammy stuffy.
THANKS. this is exactly what i am afraid of, more movement inside the shoe. with my correct size Yonex SHB-100MX, I feel slight movement when I was diving hard for birdy. Well, it could be my footwork not perfect, the socks don't fit well (I bought very good ones, but may be too thick), and / or i gained too much weight.
(x_x Whoa... lotta shoes there) I just want to know if Jack Purcell shoes are still meant for badminton =/. If anybody knows anything about this, please get back to me, thanks.
Hi! Can you post a picture of the inside of your shb-100's after repeated use with sfb please, SirDinkAlot? I'm confused as to exactly what the cutting looks like. Does it significantly effect the life of your shoes?
Okay, so every supplier I can find says Yonex only goes up to US12. Now, some shoes I buy in a US12, others in a 13....just depends on make. Can anyone tell me how the Yonex shoes fit at these sizes? If I hover between a 12 and 13, will a Yonex 12 work out okay?
Kewl, I can answer my own question! I got some SBH-99MX in the very subtle silver, size US12. They're true to size, but with quite a wide toe box. If you have wide feet you'll like them, but if you have euro narrow feet your toes will be swimming in these. The stock insoles are pretty horrible. I had to lace them pretty tight to stop my feet sliding down and hurting my toes, and after two hours play, the following day the balls of my feet are not terribly happy. They also stretch when they warm up quite noticibly, which surprised me. They also have a lot of ankle padding which feels a bit weird. Anyway, that was my first time on them so we'll see how it goes. Oh yeah, a question! What are these coloured insoles mentioned?
Okay, update on the SBH-99MX! This shoe has made more of a difference to my play than any other bit of equipment to the point I don't really care about racquets that much anymore. They have streched a small bit but this has been good because my right foot was in essence too big for a size 12, but now that I've been playing on them for a couple of months they fit much better. Having said that, if I could've got a 12.5, I probably would've. Still the same wide toebox which may or maynot suit. Still the same loud silver colour which I think looks fantastic. And the price is very reasonable.
