Tell me the phrase of "Rome was not built in one day" is a well-justified idiom

The topic is about HH and KBH, not Fuzzy. U should hv stop posting off-topic story in earlier.....

So, tell me why KBH deserves at least 1 year trial period and not HH? Double standard applied?

Your reply reminds me of this:

Qtn: Where was Abraham Lincoln born?
Ans. At 7 o'clock in the evening.

Misbun Sidek will be asked to give his recommendation in April, 2009

    .
IHMO, the BAM president, Datuk Nadzmi Mohd Salleh, was concerned over the quality in the MAS Mens Singles department. I think it is meant to check on HH and KBH, in the quality of their work when they are at their training, in their fitness, etc.. I don't think it is meant to be based purely on their tournament results/achievements.
    As Nadzmi said...
What is the point of keeping a player, even as a sparring partner in the team, if he is not fit? Players who are not committed do not deserve to be in the national team”.

Perhaps, it is also for LCW to get opportunities to train with harder working sparring partners.

So... What is going to happen for HH and KBH?
Misbun Sidek will be asked to give his recommendation in April, 2009.

MAS Singles players replacing HH and KBH

    .
    Sooner or later, these MAS Singles players will be replacing HH and KBH as preferred selection, namely;
    Chong Wei Feng
    Mohd Arif Abdul Latif
    Liew Daren
    .

Fuzzy's success was not built in one day.
I believe in 2nd chance, but not the third one.If hh and bh couldnt reach the level needed, sad to say,it is wise to throw them out.:(

I predict HH will turn to coaching come May. KBH will continue but don't think he will come good unless he gets fit - give him another year to resign if he doesn't get fit.

    Hmmmm...

..hmmmmm, this is an interesting approach of "just simply checking the quality of the players' work during their training, in their fitness, etc.??..
Well, if it's not meant to be based purely on their tournament results/achievements, then what is??..Aren't the results/achievements, indirectly, the results of their training, fitness etc. (or lack of)??..

Misbun Sidek is the one to make the final decision by the end of April, 2009

    .
Question: Aren't the results/achievements, indirectly, the results of their training, fitness etc. (or lack of)?

    Answer: Don't think so.

    According to your comments in Post#11;
If Final appearance, in how many of those tourneys?
If Semifinal appearance, in how many of those tourneys?
If QF appearance, in how many of those tourneys?
    What is a "satisfactory" accomplishment?

IMHO, a "satisfactory" accomplishment can still be achieved even if players are not making it into the Finals, Semifinals, QF's, etc... Actually, coaches, managers, teammates, fans, etc... can all tell if players have been trying or not.

Anyway, the pressure will be on Misbun Sidek, because he is the one to make the final decision by the end of April, 2009.

    So...

these are the last 10 tourney results of HH & KBH:

HH (got into QF round or higher in only 2 out 10 tourneys):

    18 Jan 2009 Korea Super Series 2009 1/32
    11 Jan 2009 Malaysia Super Series 2009 1/16
    02 Nov 2008 French Super Series 2008 1/16
    26 Oct 2008 Denmark Super Series 2008 Quarter-Finalist
28 Sep 2008 LI NING China Masters Super Series 2008 1/32
29 Jun 2008 Thailand Open Grand Prix Gold 1/16
    22 Jun 2008 Indonesia Super Series 2008 1/32
    18 May 2008 Thomas & Uber Cup Finals 2008 -
    20 Apr 2008 Badminton Asia Championships 2008 Quarter-Finalist
09 Mar 2008 YONEX All England Super Series 2008 1/32

KBH (got into QF round or higher in 4 out of 10 tourneys; 2 of which only lasted him til the Qualifying Rd.):

    18 Jan 2009 Korea Super Series 2009 1/32
    11 Jan 2009 Malaysia Super Series 2009 1/16
23 Nov 2008 Malaysia International Challenge Winner
    05 Oct 2008 Macau Open Badminton Championships 2008 Semi-Finalist
29 Jun 2008 Thailand Open Grand Prix Gold 1/64
    15 Jun 2008 Singapore Super Series 2008 Quarter-Finalist
    06 Apr 2008 Finnish International Championships Semi-Finalist
30 Mar 2008 Polish International Open Championships 1/16
27 Jan 2008 YONEX Korea Super Series 2008 Qualifier
20 Jan 2008 Proton Malaysia Open Super Series 2008 Qualifier
    02 Dec 2007 YONEX-SUNRISE HONG KONG SUPER SERIES 2007 1/32

..so i take it, Misbun will be explaining something like this to BAM, should both of them continue on the same path of inconsistently failing to reach at least a QF round:
"Yes, i understand both HH & KBH haven't done well in the tourneys they've attended. But be sure & confident that i've watched them, with my own eyes, trained really hard during sparring and training sessions and i can tell they've been really trying or not. Thus their efforts in the training sessions should cancel out their inconsistent results in tournaments. Please spare them another few months".

Btw, how long have they been playing for the National squad??..

You are so generous, chris@ccc. ;)

Who's MAS 2nd MS right now behind LCW? Is there a clear consensus?
