I obiously need a new racquet because the one I have suck the hell outta crap. Bought it for like $15 around 3 years ago, so I think its time that i move on to a new racqeut since i've practiced drops, smashes, clearing and backhanding.
Impulse buying! After I failed that chem midterm of course. Since I'm going to buy something, might as well be badminton related XD
Broke my favorite Kason U3 racket during a smash training last night.:crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying: Time to get a replacement.
Newbie hi guys..I'm a newbie here..Thinking of getting a racquet for myself instead of borrowing from my friend. U guys have any recommendation or advice on what racket get for a beginner?
u in the wrong thread software88. try the equipment section in this forum. there's a lot of topic of what racket is suitable for a wide range of players. welcome and have fun
I've got only one racket right now and I might need a backup one just in case I break my strings in inopportune moments. My racket's also a little old and heavy (Slazenger Xcel S3).
I've not bought a back-up til now cause I was afraid that I might try out another racquet and it's like fitting me perfectly, and then I would have spent money on two of the old ones. I might buy a back-up soon though, because I really like my current Yang Yang racquet and it's not that expensive.
My primary one (Prince Beast Ti) sustained a crack (did not break yet) after clashing with another player's racket so I'm using the backup (Prince Sierra) for some time before I finally bought a replacement (Yonex NS9000X). =p
Bought an additional because I bought the 1st one at the 11th hour when I'm supposed to go for a badminton game (that's about a year ago) a discontinued Prince racket. Went on to get a Wilson racket as a back-up as I later reseached online that the Prince racket breaks quite easily. Soon enough... 6 mths later, the Prince racket's shaft gave way... Then got another Wilson racket as a stand-by, liked the feel, weight and colour so bought it. After a couple of months, the 1st Wilson racket has some rattling sound in the shaft... rust perhaps? Time to get a proper racket. While accompanying my friend to the sports shop, a Yonex racket caught my eye and really liked the feel... so got it after a 1-hr mind fix. Just came back from Malaysia and got a Gosen racket, seemed good, reasonable, liked the feel and wanted to try it... There you go... with 1 and half years, I've gotten 5 rackets. Does that say a lot about women? **ROFL**
I did have a pair of AT500s but I broke one recently after I slammed it onto the floor when playing a shot (not in anger - I dunno why I did that actually lol). I really regret it now though. However, you can't live life with regrets so I am looking to to purchase another racquet. However, I cannot decide whether to buy another AT500 (my current one is old colours), or to experiement and try other racquets. I know the racquet does not make the player, but I do want to try other things. It's like buying a new car - its so nice at first, but the drive gets boring after a few years.
