Congrats to LCW for bagging that MO!

SSF and MO = both home wins. LCW boleh-ed at home. Now, lets see if LCW can boleh at the AE & WC, both away from home.

Congrats again to LCW for taking the MO.

With Sony Dwi Kuncoro and Taufik Hidayat all withdrawing from next week's Korea Super Series, Lee Chong Wei has a good chance of making it two in a row. The tough opponents will be Park Sung Hwan and Peter Gade (or Simon Santoso) yet again.

I couldn't believe my eyes. Since when our Pemuda learns to say congratulatory words to our players? Just kidding.

    The best post by Pemuda.

See, this is what we want to see! Very positive, short and precise!

2009 Korea Open SS: Lee Chong Wei is expected to meet Park Sung Hwan at the QF

    .
Talking about LCW's homeground win over PSH at the 2009 Malaysia Open SS Finals yesterday, we shall be expecting LCW to meet PSH again in 4 days' time, at the 2009 Korea Open SS Quarter-Finals. This time, it's at PSH's homeground.

Yes, I would love to see LCW or any other MAS shuttlers win away from home. For this year, it would be nice to see us winning the AE and WC. We need to dispel away the Jagoh Kampung tag.

DLCW can win, or should win when CHN players are not in.

2 Championships, SSF Title and MO2009 Title. Both tournament without the presence of the CHN MS player.......

Realistically, if we look at big titles, the Olympic gold is out of the question for LCW because when London comes around LCW is already 30 years old. I would consider this year's AE & WC as LCW's best and maybe last chance to bag a big title.

Can LCW finally have the temperament to land a big title? Well, we can all see he is trying very hard. But I think mental toughness is something you cant train for. Its either you have it or dont.

Personally, I think it would be tough for LCW as he gotta overcome his own mental block plus there is LD in his path.

2009 is definitely gonna be interesting ...

Yeah its really hard to keep going after 30, especially when they train so hard and getting injured so often.

I think Lee Chong Wei has become more confidence since he become a Datuk. :p

    As long as..

..Datuk LCW is not able to win a major badminton title (e.g AE & WC), **inside (2007 WC)** and/or **outside** of M'sia, the jury will still be out on him, esp. to his doubters and critics. His congratulatory remark (post) of Datuk LCW's MO win is as expected. But I don't think Pemuda and Dato Asbullah have changed much of their perception of Datuk LCW, which is: he can only win at home but is still not able to get that major title(s), inside or outside of M'sia...;)
..it will be tough since LD will be back, in time, for this yr's AE and most likely the WC.

    It's probably..

..going to be a once in every 3 or 5 yrs event. Thus, in twobeer's cellar, it's a "heavy title"...;)

Heavy in the sense that, it pays very well for the winner

    USD 40,000 compare to MO2009 15,000!
