Anyone knows, whether 2 different rackets could have exactly the same shaft code or not? Same model, only cone code different. Just happened i found this from my own rackets, both bought from friends.

Sorry, I am referring to the same cone code actually, 6 digits with SP. however the two rackets the shaft code are different, but that last digit only 5 away from another. Thus I guess actually the cones were produced in batch, while the shafts r always unique but in running numbers. Anyone could help to clarify???

yes, cone code can be same, cone code is date the racket being produced and there are around +/- 3000 rackets per day (for Yonex made in Japan) so there will be 3000 rackets with same cone code, however the shaft serials will move formward and one of a kind (however in 7 years, this will change as the number will overlap between the new batch and the old one)

    Hi guys,

I'm usually quite good at spotting the fakes, but with this racket that I've bought off ebay (I regret it as I type those horrendous 4 letters), I really have no idea and it could probably go either way. It's a GR version so I'm not sure whether you guys are familiar with the european serials. But anyways here goes:

---->8---- cut here (include this line) ---->8----
racket model: Yonex Arcsaber Z Slash
    shaft serial: 2578087
    cone code : 100512GR
source : ebay (seller name: plazastock)
price : they sell at GBP149, but I offered GBP128 and they accepted (retail price at official yonex retailers is around GBP156)
---->8---- cut here (include this line) ---->8----

These guys seem to have excellent feedback and look legit enough but as we all know ebay is a dark and evil place! the racket exterior and cover all look pretty good and the weight compared to the real thing feels right but my luck has never been great and intuition tells me that I've been screwed over. So if someone could put me out of my misery I would be most grateful.

    thanks

    it should be fine

if I'm not wrong they sells genuine racket
and also it is very rare to find a fake GR racket
the cone code and shaft serial also more or less is as expected

you can open a new thread with photos of it if you want further inspection..

    Hello,

I would appreciate if someone could check this racket:

---->8---- cut here (include this line) ---->8----
racket model: Yonex NS9000 type X
    shaft serial: 7662617
    cone code : 130584IP
    source : badmintondeals, Hong Kong
    price : US$200
---->8---- cut here (include this line) ---->8----

The serial number on the cone has been covered with the golden Sunrise hologram sticker -- I had to scrape it off.

There are letters "SP" painted on the shaft, under the serial number. However, the serial on the cone ends with "IP" -- is it OK?

    Thanks!!
