Not just you... but virtually everybody who is decent-minded in INA badminton feel the same way... I think the general concensus is that: if Icuk is selected as the new PBSI head, all the good people, coaches, and players will most probably quit being involved in PBSI...

In recent speeches, Icuk said that when he is the PBSI head, he will change the current power injustice, which include:
    - domination of PB. Tangkas in the coaching staff....
    - Most of the coaches and players are either not from the correct race or correct religion... [the usual pre-reformation hate-profiling]

    So, he is openly targeting:
Lius Pongoh, Christian Hadinata, Hendrawan, Marleve Mainaky, Richard Mainaky, Aryono Minarat, Mulyo, etc. And in the end will probably target the players that fit his hate-profile: Simon Santoso, Maria Kristin, Nova Widianto, Hendra Setiawan, Lily Natsir, Yonathan Suryatama, Vita Marissa, Greysia Polii, etc. :(

How? Ever heard of the Khmer Rouge? The twisted regime that executed the top 25% [the best and the brightest] of [their own] Cambodian population...

This kind of speech will surely spur controversy...
After that all, those 25 pengcabs still support him?

I'm sorry I had to start sharing the information... Let's take our conversation towards another direction... The moderators [correctly] refuse to tolerate racism topics etc. Racism in badminton should not exist, but they do exist well in the minds of some twisted people who will utilize anything for power...

Alright, then I have some questions, since I'm not really into politics...

Icuk stated that he got support from 25 pengda. But of those 25, none are from Java.
How's that going to affect him?
Does it imply that votes from Java provinces have stronger influence than others?

    And according to this:

    http://www.bolanews.com/edisi-cetak/bultang2.htm

Pengda Jatim (East Java) is approaching the INA Army Commander for PSI chairman election.
So that leaves DKI, West Java, Banten, Central Java, and Yogyakarta...

Donot care who are they. but how stupid if he really kick the top players out?? Just feel so sad for seeing the players being included into politic. If it still runs that way. How is our badminton future?? Hoho.. i hope im dreaming then..

By one vote for one Pengda, I had big worry it will be happened like "end of day" in Indonesia's Badminton but I don't brave enough to start the discussion. This is sensitive issues

The voting's rule is very unfair to Pengda who gave big effort to National Badminton. Luckily he still in banned periode until December 2008.

In other word, as long as nothing 'ngaco' happens, there's no way he can be nominated, right?

    But, in Indonesia, anything's possible...:(

Votes from each Pengda [representing virtually each INA province] is 1 per Pengda. So, the votes from DKI Jakarta counts as 1, East Java 1, Maluku Utara 1, Sulawesi Selatan 1, etc... The total is 32. So, in terms of voting, Javanese Pengdas do not have more voting power...

So technically, if 25 Pengda-s voted for Icuk and Icuk is not banned from PBSI management, then technically Icuk shall be the new head. Luckily for INA Badminton, the facts are:
    1. Icuk is still banned from PBSI and has written a formal letter accepting the ban. The only person who can lift the ban is Pak Sutiyoso... who hates Icuk so much that he said when Icuk blatantly started a rowdy mutiny against him a few years ago. Pak Sutiyoso said that if he was still in the Army, he would have shot Icuk with a handgun on the spot to disband his mutiny.
    2. The claim that 25 Pengda-s supported him is simply not true. There were no formal letter from each one of the 25 Pengda heads that support his claim. Many who supported him are not the head of the Pengda-s...

Yes, the voting rule is unfair towards the most productive of the Pengda-s... 100% of our Pelatnas players are from Javanese clubs. If PBSI is like the United Nations Security Council, then DKI Jakarta, West Java, Central Java, and East Java should be the top members like USA, Russia, China, Great Britain... :p

But PBSI is not the UN Security Council... :p

I'm not too terribly worried. Money still talk the loudest in INA, and unless Icuk has big-pocket backers behind him, he can forget being PBSI head.

Icuk claimed that he got the support and financial backing of:
    Menko Kesra [Aburizal Bakrie]
    Menteri Kehutanan [M. S. Kaban]
    Menteri Olahraga [Adiyaksa]

Furthermore, ...what the greedy and short-sighted people don't seem to realize is that the 3 above mentioned Menteri-s might not be around after the new 2009 Presidential cabinet is in place... Then PBSI will be stuck with Icuk, no cash, no support, no good coaches, and no good players...
