hmm. maybe you are reading to much into a name.. if you look at cars the VW Golf 2009 is not really the same car as the Golf-1 1974 :).. same goes with todays porce 911 etc.. a racket name is reaaly nothing but a name....

Bros: let's discuss and review N90 here: I heard quite a few feedback here saying N90 and even shop sellers of rackets says Li ning N90 is very stiff and too heavy to use.

I think this is nonsense, i have to say sorry , if i offended some badminton fans here. If N90 is too stiff and heavy to use , why is it i saw in the pictures of french open , the china woman doubles are using it ,, are we man weaker than woman ??

Are you weaker than Chinese WD players? Yes, obviously. They'll kick our butts just as fast as a CHN MD player.

It's obviously modelled around the AT700....so it's moderate stiffness and heavy head. If some of us still use 2U, or add lead taper everywhere, or us the Panda Power ultra, it's fine....don't believe what the shop keeper says, though your rational is pretty flawed too.

Have you seen Yu Yang and Du jing? How about other WD players....Huang Sui from before smashes harder than Andy Roddick... Are you able to smash 250+ km/h?

Adding to that....what do you string your racquets at? YY and DJ strung at 33-36lbs during the 2008 OG. I'm sure the other WD players are at least 30lbs too. I dont' think you're able to do that...

And you in turn make me laugh thinking you're stronger than them... the size of your biceps isn't all that important for strength in badminton, just look at WYH.

    Bro,
To string one's racket at what tension is PERSONAL based on his/her own ability.
Just because Lin Dan is Super Dan does not mean he has to be the best in everything. 30-31 suits him and makes him who he is today in men's badminton singles, so why must he go up to 33-34 just to show he is the "boss" over the women???? This is 2009, wake up, men and women are equal.
And to confirm Athelete1234's comment, in Chinese National team, the highest tension ever string onto their current Men's and Women's players is indeed 34lbs, and it is not Lin Dan. ;)

Yup, brand new second gen including new paintjob and new material. currently still undecided the final name, but coded as N90II and N50II.

I normally go there once a fortnight. reason being for me for shopping .....and to drop by the largest Li Ning retail outlet on that street (there's two of them on the same street, one of them is the biggest in Beijing with 4 floors)
u will find me on 3rd floor which is .....the badminton equipment floor ....;)
Will try to sneak some photos next time i go there and post it here....

    Well-spotted maa2003!
When I read your post, I quickly checked my own N90 and you're right.
Mine is also 72 grommet with shared holes from 7H to 11H.
    Hmmm... looks like a fake.
