Latter for sure. They have way more experience than the Thailand pair. But this Thailand pair is good.
I think if it was CPS/LKW or GWS/TKS, they would have won.

Liew Daren same case, mental weak.

Ya, I am not upset....I am just comments their performances in this AG and Its a supporter's job to critic them when they are not performing well........

Sorry, I never use that word 'Bolehian', 'Childish' to decribe any of the Bcers here because i think its very rude.

the ladder is very hard to climb and there are many climbers these days unlike yesteryears!

trust me, only those that keep climbing will eventually reach the top

of course one must get into that pool of climbers first.

so we should be glad we do have some good young climbers!

Not easy to juggle both. Good to let them go full time and then if can't make it, go back to the books. If they still have the will to study. ;)

Misbun wants BJSS to place more emphasis on producing champions
    By SHAMSHUL FITRI

KUALA LUMPUR: National singles coach Misbun Sidek wants the Bukit Jalil Sports School (BJSS) to give less emphasis on studies so that the young shuttlers can go all out in training and fulfil their true potential.

He said shuttlers in the programme were currently torn between doing well in their studies and going all out in the game.

“This may sound drastic as it involves education but, personally, this is the only way to go if we want to see more good players coming out of the development programme in years to come,” he said.

“After finishing high school, most players will decide to either stay with the programme or continue their studies.

“Those who opt to stay may have only badminton in their mind but their true potential can’t be tapped because of the focus on studies.”

The juniors currently in the national set-up under the charge of coach Hendrawan include Zulkarnain Zainuddin, Mohd Syawal Ismail and Misbun’s son, Misbun Ramdan.

Misbun also lamented the fact that even those who made it through the BJSS programme lacked confidence when they joined the national squad.

“Not many of them are champions at the junior level due to a lack of exposure, weak mentality and poor physique,” said Misbun.

“When they walk into the national squad, they see that ‘Oh, Chong Wei can still play for another five years, so there’s no chance for me here ... ‘I’d be better studying or doing something else’.

“I have voiced my views many times before ... it’s up to the relevant authorities to sort it out for the good of the sport.”

On Chong Wei’s preparations for the Hong Kong Open, which will be held from Dec 6-12, Misbun said the world No. 1 would take a couple of days rest to recover from flu before returning to training.

“He’s raring to get back on court for training. But it is important that he doesn’t aggravate his flu ... otherwise he may have to skip the tournament,” said Misbun.

No offense but I think that Misbun's son is not on the same level with the other back-up players, even lower. In the Indonesian Grand Prix Gold, he went down tamely to Liew Daren after his big win. In the Malaysian GP Gold, with no offense to the Sri Lankans, he lost to a Sri Lankan player in straight games!
