thanks for feedback but isnt genuine yonex racquets have the serials engraved on the cone? the buyer who bought this from me actually went to some reputable shop and checked it, they peeled off the sticker to check the serial which i did not bother when i bought it suspecting it being fake which i am not convinced since i bought it from a reputable shop too, yet the scrapped code is telling me otherwise
It is engraved in the paint. If the entire paint chip is missing so could the number but you should still be able to see some traces if deep enough. I have one here as well with the same, let met take a pic. Of course this one is much older so not sure how good the engraving is on Made in Taiwan ones these days (this is an AT700 btw).
yeah i can see very LIGHT traces of number off the chipped part here you go close up shots does this prove that my racquet is genuine?
look, the easiest way to know if the cone code is laser engraved is to touch it touch it and if you feel the number is rough that means it is laser engraved if it is not, that means it is printed (which is fake) if it is laser engraved, that means it is genuine
You can see it's engraved from the second picture where the light disappears in the number. And yes I can see the remains of the "2". Based on the shaft and cone number, the correct font for them and seemingly engraved it still looks fine. But you can always take and post more pictures of other parts of the racket (to compare) in your other thread ().
Maybe I should start buying my stuff in Budapest, if Yonex has a store there. The place I'm currently getting my equipment from is almost as far as Budapest anyway

By the way, after reading a couple of posts on this, I did unwrap the grip down to the bare wood and found a small screw at the top of the handle (most probably connecting the shaft to the handle) and a red inked "M4" at the bottom. Not sure if it means anything.
