The Chinese XD pair eventually won the match and the WJC Team title after taking the decider-set 24-22.

Still haven't been able to find any videos of the event yet :(.
Looks like no one went to Chiba.
Badland Movie was in Kobe covering the high school tournament.

Seeded 1 in GD from Bulgaria ?? That's odd

Korean should be top seed given their victory in last WJC

Once again senseless mind from organizers...

Expect tight battle in GS between only these 4 players : TTY, Sun Yue, Busanan and Nozomi

Meanwhile BS title should be between Axel or Kento....

Don't hope for much for INA BS and GS. They would be lucky enough to have 1 rep in R16.

INA's best hope is in BD as expected. Hafiz/Putra are ranked 1st probably because of their senior ranking (which is higher than Edi/Arya). The good news is: Takuto Inoue/Yuki Kaneko, Wang Chi Lin/Wu Hsiao Lin, and Choi Sol Kyu/Park Se Woong are drawn in the same quarter. So, only 1 of these pairs will progress to the SF.

GD and XD are also tough.

I will not expect too much from INA players/pairs that are seeded, usually that will give bad result :( no offense.

Indeed, it was very close encounter, should be tense final match.
JPN replaces KOR who usually becoming runner-up position, well improvement by Japanese youngsters.
INA moves up three rungs, from 7th to 4th, better outcome this year :)

The Bulgarian pair have won senior titles together in international tournaments, therefore their seeding isn't that surprising, their results are strong

They lost to the unseeded Thai pair in the Team-event and will probably lose to Yu Xiaohan/Huang Yaqiong [5/8] in the QF.
