Dear MooMoo I believe it indicates the rating of racket's stiffness / flexibility (between VTZF, VT80, VT70 and VT60)
New chart is out! looks like NR100 is replacing NS990 if it has better aerodymanics and same head/swing weight, it should be pretty good
oh yeah got it of the uk yonex catalog which is already available online http://www.yonex.co.uk/Badminton/Page.aspx?ID=189
I think I'm finally getting to understand the concept of hold and repulsion on the racquet chart. Am I correct to assume there are two levels of stiffness - one for the frame and one for the shaft? Reason for asking is I see the Arc Sabers are on the Hold side of the chart, but also have varying options for stiffness. I assume the Arc Saber would have a higher frame flexibility (offering more control) than say a Nanospeed 9900, but depending on the model, you can select your level of shaft flexibility? Is this correct or anywhere near the reality?
obviously early days. alot of info missing/not much info font is weird. could use something easier to read/more friendly on the eye.
Hi guys Uhmm hey, i need your help and quick which racket shud i choose between the arc z slash, voltric z force or nano 9900. I am a very strong player and play mostly offensovely i have a great technique and my stamina is average.Btw i dont have a budget and couldnt care less about the looks or colours.Cheers guys
Hi Antzdahman, May I suggest Voltric 80 3U, best racket I ever use and still using it, I know I won't be switching racket for a long time, hence the recommendation.
Hi Antzdahman, another thumbs up for vt80. its awesome. arc Z slash - suitable as you have great technique. even balance will be better for your average stamina. good offence (smash and drive) and defence (highly maneuverable) nano 9900 - this is suitable if your offense is not smash orientated although still decent smash if you got good swing speed. voltric z force - best racket if you got good technique and play offensively, but if you have average stamina it may drain you as it is heavy.
hey guys i wan't to buy a new yonex racket.. .my drops are very good but my smashes are weak and i also wan't to improve my defensive. which series/racket should i go for? please help.
These charts never make any sense. Shouldn't all the VT rackets be in the top right corner? This chart makes them look mid powered.
They have changed the description of the axis, perhaps translation gone wrong. I noticed it as well and this is a change from the previous chart which had repulsion instead of power and hold instead of control. This was taken from the ARC11 special page though so I expect it to get corrected on the main page. Hold and repulsion made "perfect" sense, more so than the antiquated power and control descriptions ... THEN AGAIN, these latest three ArcSaber models seem to try their best at becoming some sort of counter-offensive weapon. For now I'd just keep repulsion and hold in mind rather than power and control, after all in the way old charts the racket with the most "power" was simply the stiffest one.
Not blind, just late . It will be replaced by ArcSaber 11 and ArcSaber 8DX and 5DX are also gone ... With any luck the ARC11 is a combo of 10 and 8DX. It is already for sale in Taiwan and can be bought from there on eBay right now.
