    Slightly off topic....

You maybe suprised to learn that it is possible, to get as high as 59th in the world just by participating in 10 SS events, and losing in the first round.

Points for first round loser = 2200
    10 events= 22000

In other words, you would be ranked higher than Viktor Axelsen, WJC.:)

i know well about the world ranking points
but in order to be in the main draw
u need to be in at least world number 45 in the beginning
mean that u need to participate start from international series to gain point
its easy to talk than done
to be in world number 15 onward
u need to be in at least 5 gp gold semi final and 5 semi final of ss

I can say an OK achievement at the moment for CPS/GLY to beat the INA pair in 1st RD of HK Open...
road still long...beating one seeded players is good but of coz long term goal is to win bigger titles
hope they can go further and not cold water later

Aiyo, don't so lazy check draws :p

Nevermind, I'll tell you :) They are up against Fran/Pia whom I consider to be INA's real no.2 behind Tontowi/Lilyana.

They will play Pia/Kurniawan from INA, a good up coming pair. It will be a tough one for CPS/GLY....if they managed to take this one, then only I'll rate CPS/GLY as a better XD pair, now they are just so so only without consistency !!

FranPia is definitely stronger, saw them in AG stretching the CHN XD to the max..If CPS-GLY beat them this would be a yardstick of their improvement.

Yup, they just lost but not before stretching this INA pair to the max too

22-20; 19-21; 18-21, I would say it is a good fight. After their MD and WD matches, I hope they will take a good rest before going back to train. Try harder in the next tournament next year, this pair has gained my respect.

Fran Kurniawan Teng/Pia Zebadiah Bernadeth (INA) beat Peng Soon Chan/Liu Ying Goh (MAS): 20-22 21-19 21-18

Good try...? Good fight? Try harder next time...? Good experience? BOLEH?

This INA pair belongs the same batch of upcoming XD pairs, maybe slightly more experienced than CPS-GLY, will hope to see a rivalry
between them in the near future.. CPS-GLY needs to improve on his temperament during crucial stages of the matches.

Ok effort for now in HKO..
next tourney is the crucial one to determine they are ok pair
just ok...coz if they managed to beat INA pairs...next will be KOR
and lastly CHN pairs....or else just upsets here and there
but cannot beat all pairs how to win SS titles lar???

Has Malaysia ever produced an XD pair who had reached the semi-finals of a Super Series event before? Or won a GP Gold title? I'm happy that these guys are able to produce upsets here and there already. Since you know that they are only an OK pair, don't talk about KOR and CHN pairs until they become a GOOD pair ;)

They beat Yoo Yeon Seong/Kim Min Jung before..?

Yup... how old are they? 22/21, I think. I rarely see them in SS(4 only this year for a top MIX DOUBLES pair in Malaysia!?) They definitely need more exposure. They only had 10 tournaments this year but 6 of them are in GP Gold instead of SS. (you compare this to LCW(11) or KKK/TBH(12). Hard to ever beat CHN and KOR pairs though...

i think have.. i am thinking about kkk and ceh?

i agree. for now they are an upcoming pair. not good yet in the international sense.. but the idea of them defeating teams by countries.. eg.. indonesia teams first then korea then china seems tedious..there must be a better way
