THE BA of Malaysia (BAM) will look for a new coaching and training committee (CTC) chairman after Ng Chin Chai agreed to relinquish his position and focus on the more important role of secretary. Although Chin Chai has not officially announced his decision, reliable sources in BAM have confirmed he has already informed the management, including president Datuk Seri Nadzmi Salleh.

It is believed that Chin Chai, during Wednesday's executive council (exco) meeting, had made his intentions known.
BAM deputy president Tengku Kamil Ismail Tengku Idris Shah said there was no decision taken on Chin Chai's position as CTC chairman but said one exco member had suggested a council member be appointed to the position.

"We didn't ask Chin Chai to resign from his position. There was a suggestion from an exco member that a council member be appointed to the position. In his capacity as secretary, Chin Chai can sit in on all the committees and this is probably why the suggestion came about," said Tengku Kamil yesterday.
"Chin Chai could have said something just before the meeting concluded because I had to rush for another function about half an hour earlier.
"Chin Chai was appointed by our president and he has the prerogative to make a final decision on the position."
The fact that Chin Chai had also served as chairman of the high performance committee, which was disbanded after the London Olympics, and was also named as team manager for the national squad competing in the London Games, made it clear he had too much on his plate.
There were also certain decisions by the CTC that didn't go down well and one of them was the call to remove Rexy Mainaky as the men's doubles coach and also appoint Pang Cheh Chang as Koo Kien Keat-Tan Boon Heong's coach 12 months ago which didn't bear fruit in London.
BAM has already announced a 12-year blueprint where it will have 2016, 2020 and 2024 project squads and with the entire national training programme going through restructuring, Chin Chai could be carrying a heavy workload.
Nadzmi, although declining to comment, said the CTC chairman, be it Chin Chai or anybody else, has given the coaches a free hand and the practice will continue.
"There has never been any interference by the CTC chairman and Chin Chai has been doing a good job. We will make sure that the practice will continue when we appoint a new project manager," he said.
Nadzmi had also declined to take up the position as CTC chairman again which means one of the experienced council members is likely to replace Chin Chai.
An official announcement is expected to be made at the council meeting in November.

    Nadzmi:

So that means all previous international foreign coaches were spinning tales and all had the same 'big bad wolf story' to say. Hhm.. this is so strange.

    self service bias,a psychology theory.

    if we apply here.
nadzmi said it was his effort to pay all the debt and getting good sponsor since he take over/won a lot title, world number one and etc
and blame player because player dont want to improve.
(same goes to rashid sidek,ng chin cai,tan kim her and uncle tan)
one tend to say those positive result are due to their effort and ability while blaming the negative result to environment or others;)

    2nd theory-false consensus effect.
one tend to thought their thinking/idea will definitely get support from others.
this can be apply on how uncle tan think i and pakito only represent a tiny minority thought while his represent the majority;)

if one leader of management have these two kind of bias, can see how he will excel in management.;)

If one reads Utusan & Metro, a certain 'declined to be named' council member said the Exco were bombarding NCC abt the decisions CTC made, etc, etc. Whoever the Project Manager they appoint will end up like James Selvaraj, bear the responsibility but no full authority.

    Excerpt from: http://ssdhaliwal.blogspot.com/2012/09/things-bam-did-not-reveal-third-world.html

[h=1]THINGS BAM DID NOT REVEAL - THIRD WORLD MENTALITY[/h]
    [h=1]
    [/h][h=1]
    [/h]
    [h=1][/h]
There is more then what meets the eye as so far as the Coaching and Training Committee Meeting decided then what was revealed to journalists at the post meeting press conference that was held yesterday.

One thing is certain, a senior official of BAM stated " the third world mentality" of players within the BAM stable as a main reason as to why he objected to having a foreign supremo to handle matters pertaining to coaching and technical aspects of the players.

Perhaps if BAM feels that players have adopted a third world mentality, they ought to take a hard look at themselves in the mirror and ask just who made them such. And since they cannot churn out champions, maybe its time to vacate your seats.

It is indeed shocking that the BAM opted to keep secrets rather then being honest about things after having kept the Journalists waiting for well over six hours.

A secret because within an hour after the Press Conference, I managed to find out some startling facts and decisions that were made. And here goes.

    - Zulfadli Zulkifli has been left out of the 2016 program by BAM. His name was initially included in the list by Ng Chin Chai but objections by the Peanag and Kedah representatives saw Zulfadli being dropped and only Iskandar Zulkarnain and Misbun Ramdhan being included to join the seniors. This I believe was to save face of BAM President who had revealed the list a week prior to the meeting. And its pertinent to note that NSC Director General dato seri Zolkples Embong had stated that Zulfadli should be included. This shows that the views of NSC have no impact as far as BAM is considered.

    - There was a proposal from Tan Kim Her to split Koo Kien Keat/Tan Boon Heong and the new pairing was Goh V Shern/Tan Boon Heong. but not for Koo. That created a problem as the future of Koo was uncertain. The matter was discussed, the pro and cons but one of the issues was the fact that the restructuring of pairs could mean that KLRC's Mohd Zakry Latif/Mohd Fairuzizuan Tazari would take over the mantle of being the number one pair in the country. All this talk of having to discuss with Koo/tan was ******** as BAM has had discussions with them. They will not be split till end of the year so as to ensure they remain in BAM.

    - Three coaches, namely Cheah Soon Kit, Yap Kim Hock and Wong Tat Meng have been endorsed to join the coaching stablke and will be formally appointed at the Exco Meeting to be held later.

    More disclosures soon....

You see, you see.. there are so much controversies in BAM. It's already no use coming up with the 12 year plan. We are not even in the first few months of the plan and it's already dead and buzzing with flies. We can never take whatever they say at face value. Everything they dish out to you has a hidden agenda, then they sell it to you like the 'cream of the pie' idea, which in fact really is rotten maggots. Now let's see Chin Chai is vacating his seat like he said he would do. That remains to be seen. Clowns managing the country's sport like wayang kulit.

Anyone watched kafe sukan at astro801, president BAM Nadzmi talked about koo/tan. He said why they are not splited. Nadzmi didn't really answer anything, just play tai chi. Good at taichi, no wonder he is top man...
