Update: Ashaway ML lasted 4 games before it snapped too ..I just strung my AMP 95 with BG 70 pro @25X27 lbs.. I guess I'll hv to stick with more durable strings now..But I'm glad I own a stringing machine..
stringing serive hi all , the tang sport shop hold the most most expensive service in singapore .and with attitude manner .really cant accept ,
less than 3 hours play I broke mine in less than 3 hours play. BG66 at 26x26lbs. On the other hand, BG80 and nanogy98 will last for a few months.
one of pro stringer I met told me that if it takes so long to break your string, there are only two reasons: 1. as you said. . 2. you always hit the shuttercock at the right spot. ...
Same here, broke my strings within 3 hours in a tournament. Before that I broke my strings within 2 weeks or approx. 10 hours. I have decided to alternate between rackets so I use the newly strung for practice and the other for games so I can increase the mileage a bit.
bg65 on my ns9000 for 4 years at 19lb now and 2 years on the bg70pro with arc10 at 22lb. still plays great. both of them.
BG65Ti last around 3-4 months NBG95 last around 2.5-3 months BG80 last around 2-2.5 months BG85 last around 2 months All strung at around 24-25 lbs, and on average around 6-7hrs per week.
now my string last more than 2 months after i switched to BG 65....... but BG 66 still the best for me...
I don't know if I'm really bad or what, because BG 65 at 21 lbs lasted me 2 years. I play 2-7 hours per week. I thought mishits are suppoesed to break strings easier.
It's hard to break strings at low tension. Plus it will be even lower then 21lbs after 2 years. Dramatically lower
used to use BG-66 but after it broke twice on me. they were newly strung at 26lbs and only 1hour of play each then i switched to BG-80 and still using it after mths of playing. but can see that it is going to break soon as frills are forming at different intersection of the string
Yo, any advise if my BG66 string 26 tension can last for 6 months... the string does not snap should I cut the string and replace with new string? The tension dropped but still can play more than 6 months...
If you have the money and dislike your BG 66, or REALLY REALLY want to try new string or to replace it, you should. For me, I'm tempted to cut my BG 68 Ti for BG 80 but I'm low on budget so I'll just play extra hard hoping my strings will break . It's been a month since I strung my Armortec 900 Technique though.
as long as u are comfortable with it and is a casual player, i think there's no need to change new string.
thanks, I seldom play, maybe once a month? or max twice a month. as long as I can return the bird, and not snapped, I think i will stick to my BG66...
