    Ai Fukuhara, the 19-year-old table-tennis sensation, was Japan's flag-bearer :)

    Ai got into the Japanese national squad when just 11 years old :eek:
    When just 14, she finished 5th in the Paris 2003 World Championships :eek:
    Although just 19, this is her second Olympics :eek:

    At Athens 2004, she reached the Round of 16.
    Now 13th in the world, she is hot in the table-tennis competition.

    (By the way, she is also featured in two PlayStation 2 table-tennis games.)

    Given these accomplishments, how could Japan possibly consider Reiko Shiota over Ai Fukuhara to be their Olympic flag-bearer? :rolleyes:

    By the way, Haruna Fukuoka is the player who handed Singapore's Li Jiawei (one of the top ten table-tennis players in the world) a shock defeat in the preliminary round of the Singapore Table-Tennis Open just two months ago.

    Very sorry to see Reiko/Kumiko lost, but glad to see their beautiful smile all the time.

    Did anyone else see Reiko/Kumiko cheering in the stand when Miyuki/Satoko played the Korean pair? Reiko seemed to yell louder :D

    Lastly, the Japanese women have the prettiest outfits. The colors are nice and made them all look pretty and sexy ;). It sure drives all the guys crazy :)

    Both of them are spending too much time on comercial activities . dont think any badminton athletes in the world can achieve any great success with so much distortion from their careers
