I've been reading that Sumai is a trustworthy seller, but you'd better ask the Wise Elder's for further clarification.

In case anyone was still wondering if Lin Dan has played with the new limited edition of the AT700 yet, I came across this page on the German Yonex site:

    http://www.yonex.de/armortec.htm

    It should roughly translate to:

"Official sales launch of the ARMORTEC 700 Limited.

Jointly developed with the 2-times world champion and YONEX player Lin Dan (CHN) and designed with perfect racquet-shuttle acceleration and shot control.

Lin Dan will play with this racket for the first time in the Singapore Super Series, 10 - 15 June 2008.

In Europe, the ARMORTEC 700 Limited will be available from 1 June
    ".

With 14,000 of them across the globe, can you expect its value to appreciate at all over time?
Just wondered since I saw some people post about buying limited edition rackets specifically for that purpose.

that package looks quite tempting. only thing is the price is very dear. does the seller mention where he/she got the racket from? cos if it's a TH code, well, you do the math...

    Just two points:
14,000 is not quite a Limited Edition... that's more a Limited Mass Edition ;)
Lin Dan won't be playing with this racquet at the Singapore Open... in fact, he isn't competing at all.

    AT-700 Limited Edition in Singapore

I understand that the AT-700 Limited Edition will be released in AVIVA Open. It will be priced at S$679/-.

The price will later be adjusted to S$379/-.

Best price I can only get is S$320/- as for now.

    Thanks.

For that mass limited edition, I think that the price is too much.
dunno in Jakarta, I called my store, they said it's coming.

14,000 is just too many racquets. The earlier Armortec limited edition had only 5,000 pcs and should fetch a higher price. BTW, I have heard that it is not true that the AT700 ltd. edition had any involvement by Lin Dan. A true Lin Dan racquet would be without a proper grip at the top of the handle, which would really sell, but then Lin Dan would want his signature on the racquet and demand a King's ransom for every racquet sold. That will make Taufik mad and he will demand from Yonex a better deal, for after all he was the first top player to use the AT700 at a time when Lin Dan was using an MP99.

678sgd is just so sick. Anyway, is it possible asking for discount at those vendors?

Not TH code I am sure. A friend passed on the information to me who I thinked sent a PM to the seller. They are all the same anyway and from what I know, the for this racket has been monitored very carefully.

It is true that 14,000 pieces may sound like a lot but when averaged amongst the all countries, it is not that much. Also I am pretty sure the "mini" bag is also quite a rarerity.

Oops... sorry for the mis-information everyone.
    Thanks for the replies.

Is Yonex.de actually an official site then?
Why does it contain incorrect info?

Does £95.99 sound expensive for this "limited" edition?

Yonex.de is an official website for yonex germany. Just like yonex.co.uk in UK or yonex.com in US. I think £95.99 is the standard RRP price for an AT700 in UK or Europe.

It's indeed one of Yonex's official (regional) sites...
... but that doesn't mean the information is up-to-date :)

£95.99 appears to be a very good price for the Limited Edition.
The question is: "Is it too good to be true?" ;)
