Posting some photos of some old rackets collected over time so i can throw them out. top to bottom: cab8SP, black knight BK735, wilson air hammer left to right: proace sweetspot 900(graphite piece threw off the handle), isometric 90 light, cab 15
OUCH Cooler! Those broken shafts looks the perfect way to impale :crying: your opponents should you need a reason to win the match! Cheers!
How did u manage to break the shaft? My goodness. There was once i played with this boy.. he had a fake racket. Once he hit the shuttle , i heard a sound that sounded like a twig break. Of course the shaft broke.
only the proace is my racket. - the cab 15 shaft broke because clash with a steel racket - the isometric 90 light is own by a B to B+ player. He had it strung at 26 lbs. After collapsing the 2 top grommet holes, he kept on using it. The shaft give out 1 session later. - bluejeff, bad stringing can destroy any racket
RACket DaMAGeS Once upon a time, a person had snapped their strings and was in an intense game...his identity doesnt want to be revealed soo we'll call him "C2". anways, c2 was lent a racket and broke the...grip..by merely snapping his wrist... ahmm...the grip as in the ACTUAL WOOD THING. Anyways, this friend of c2's was nice and lent him ANOTHER racket. he then performed...a "weak" dropshot..and broke the frame...as if A DROP SHOT COULD DO THAT!!! Needless to say...one day, three crippled rackets - two being severly handicapped for ever...it was an interesting dai for him Now its your turns boiz and girlz; post pics of the hardships that you and your rackets have gone thru so that we all may mourn together for the losses. :crying: *sorry Mark, took me a lil while to get it on BF
LOL! Wow, I've never seen a racket grip break :S How big was this guy cause i'd believe his Dropshot story if he could break a racket grip. Are you sure he wasn't out to sabotage ur rackets? These look quite severe like they've been run over by a truck.
Very strong guys (e.g. Mag) will break the grip, as the wooden handle if the only part does does not exhibit any flexibility. However, fake racquets tend to break at the wooden handle. I presume the MP99 is real, so you can scrap the second possibility. So if you were to break your racquet at the grip, provided the raquet is not fake, then you have joined the league of big hitters.
No no mon amie, its not an MP 99 OR MP 88 . The broken grip was a MAX POWER 99 LMAO! a clone hehe. As for the broken frame, THAT was a real MP 77sp. lol
My carbonex20 is on its death bed =( The cone keeps cracking more and more and I fear it's gonna snap completely. Is it possible to replace the cone only?
yes, do a search for kwun's thread regarding broken handles, the the consequences of neglecting to repair cones and handles.
hello,I am looking for retired rackets ,instead of a normal DEATH, give them a second chance,I meane a second life ,if you agree please sand some picture before sending racket by post office ,(lowest rate not by plane), could pay sending fees +5 euros!!! only the racket who get one crack with the frame in shape ,(hope you cut the string),my ad:LAM 5 rue du 29 JUILLET 75001 PARIS ,FRANCE MING lamcm@free.fr
Another JP go to heaven. This time my AT700. Broke at 12 o'clock during a smash. I think i hit the frame too hard. No clashes. Good thing i have another spare one.
one of my carlton airblade superlites broke with a mis-hit on a smash earlier today. it fell apart at the 9*clock position.
suspicious???? are u sure ur mp 90 is real??? can u sent a larger pic of the cone of ur mp 90( if u still have it). from the pic i see now. the yonex logo on the cone looks very suspicious
