Yonex SHB-F1 LTD 'Olympic' edition The so-called SHB-F1 LTD 'Olympic' edition shoes are here. In terms of looks, I much prefer this pair than the normal SHB-F1 LTD which I think a tad too plain and dull. Looking at the actual product gives one a much better perspective. Most times actual view is better but sometimes promotional pictures do embellish the actual product.
the JP's quality is much better and you dun get the new "wave" insole pattern in the 86s. not sure about the 86 ltd though
simple design yet effective, expensive though This is in fact a very nice shoes, light and lots of cushion. Many think the design is too plain for the given price but I like it that way. I never like shoes with breathtaking design overtaking all the attention during the plays, the center of focus should be the plays not the footwear, IMHO The cons, expensive!!
I was looking for a replacement for my SHB 101 LTD which was 3yrs old and was trying on the SC5 EX and the Li-Ning AYZF047-3 both I like for its looks when the salesperson asked me to try the F1 LTD. I didn't like how it looked at first but when I tried it on it was very LIGHT and COMFORTABLE. Ended up buying the F1 LTD.
Physically, if we compare these 2 shoes :- F1 is lighter than Shb 86- F1 is slightly have "sharp" shape at the front shoes. Shb 86 more wider than F1, so it will be more comfortable for user who has "wider foot".if you looking for better design, choose F1 LTD blackgold (using by malaysian player Tan Boen Hong ).F1 feels better in flexibility when 86 feels stiffer and safely to your feet.
You're welcome brother. I am using F1 MX Blue and considering to buy F1 LTd black gold. Before F1, my old shoes are shb 85td.
Has anybody tried the F1R by any chance? These are a limited edition and cheaper version of the F1 and I wanna know how much of a resemblance it has to it's daddy.
How about in terms of technology? Are they also built to be super light? And how does it compare to the MX92?
Judging by the materials, I'd say not built to be super light. The previous page on this thread has an image displaying the limited editions and it shows that the F1RX does not have much in the way of shoe technology. Compared to SHB92, it won't compare in terms of performance. Not to say they're bad as entry level shoes, but you'll be paying extra just for the limited colorway.
