canadians MS, WS, MD, XD, WD have won many national titles too it's not our fault that LD, LCW, TH, PG,ZN, fu/cai, gao L, etc didn't show up to our nationals
Here is a question for you, name me another Jahanger Khan in squash? Why compare such legend with LCW? Why not Rudy Hartono? Is this comparison even come close to the being 'fair'. Are you sure you are not having too much christmas todi?
who knows? maybe lee chong wei just sound out this statement just to let all the youngster in the squad to have the 'determine' attitude in their mind to beat him in the future of course.
well, he doesnt said so..he just said that he wants to try his best and enjoy this tournament in his home grown..
IMO, If really need to motivate the juniors to beat him, LCW doesnt need to set this target. I believe those juniors are determined enough. who wouldnt want to beat the OG Silver medalist ?
no...he say that he want to win two title before end of this year...1 is gp final title...1 is ss final...go gp final thread again...and find that news article i post for u...
yes...who dont want to beat og silver medalist???...who can beat him in this 3 year...will be a big big acheivement...
Jansher Khan He won the World Open eight times - a record - and would have won again in 1997 if the event had not been held in Malaysia (for legal reasons, he couldn't enter the country). Jansher also won the British Open six times consecutively. In all, he won 99 international tournaments and was the World # 1 for over six years. My post was in reply to chris@ccc. Here's an extract from what he posted: "It's a great achievement. Wonder what is the record, similar to this, for other sports and/or for other nations." Does 'other sports' exclude squash? In fact, comparing Lee Chong Wei to Rudy Hartono is quite unfair to Hartono. The Indonesian won the All England Open (an international title) eight times - seven of them consecutively. The Malaysian hasn't yet figured in even the runner-up list! Staying with international badminton, please look up Ethel Thomson's record at the All England Open. I nearly did after reading your post
based on your this post from the National gp final thread, malaysia have enough hope or not now in the ms department.? looks like u changed your mind quite fast tho..
As for the Masters Finals, Chong Wei has set himself a target of reaching the final in the inaugural event. just reaching the final, he doesnt stated that he wants to win the title here
only cwf is mas hope...beat cj b4...tcs and arif...that beat cyk and eric pang...not impressive at all...
honestly, i did read that he just wanna reach final of SS grand final but i also remember i read somewhere his last 2 targets of the year is National grand final and SS grand final...maybe like our politicians always says...the media misunderstand and the report is "out of context"
