Help me everyone, can you please list all the even balance, stiff rackets currently on the market. I've been browsing a lot and figured no-one would know more than the users of this site.
Funnily enough I've been a massive fan of the 8DX but then felt I wanted to try something else, so I bought a few ArcZS's, NS9900, BS-LYD and Arc10... but now I've gone back to the 8DX... I keep on going back to my 8DX for some reason. It has everything I look for in a racquet... especially now with a change of strings, I can now even extract a lot of power from it. I'm thinking of putting a bit of lead tape on the top to see if it will help more. But if you're looking for an excuse to buy a new racquet, I'd recommend trying something from the bravesword range.
I've tried the following: BG65Ti BG68Ti NGB95 NBG99 VS850 BG80 And found that the best string in order of preference are: VS850 - Best string for feel, power, control but is massively let down by the quick tension loss. NBG99 - Next best string which I am using now, best all-rounder and is above average in every dept. Feel isn't quite as good as fresh VS850. BG65Ti - Very good string and is recommended by Yonex for the 8DX but felt it was too slippery and quick tension loss and with it, performance. But the sweetspot felt massive with this string and also power was quite easy had. I have my strings strung at 28lb with only 1lb difference between main and cross using one-piece stringing. I find the 8DX very sensitive to string type so I wouldn't give up on it just yet. I have been using LN NS30 on my BS-LYD which I'm a little undecided about, it feels like a cross between the ZM67 which I don't like and a harder version of VS850 which I do. I might try this on my 8DX later but there are other strings I'm contemplating trying too including: BG80P NS880 NS50
