If it interests you, I write a lot of legal contracts :D

No books yet... but there's enough written work that could fill quite a few :p
But it's unlikely anyone will pay to read any of it :crying:

I'm now trying to find out if JK Rowling plays badminton
If she does, I could give her a few tips on badminton... and she could teach me the secrets of authoring commercial literature :D

(PS: This is Off-Topic, isn't it?)

to clarify some confusion, Oldhand and future moderators are hand picked and invited by the current moderator staff. you can always apply but you will only get in if we believe you have the right qualities we are looking for.

Oldhand as i have mentioned to him, will still be Oldhand after he became moderator. however, he will also need a new hand to handle some moderation tasks.

... make that 'several hands' :p
I'm just getting adjusted to a new meaning for 'time management'

I guess kwun's post answers the queries posted by many of us :) As for my take on the sweep of a mod's tasks, check out the title of the dystopian sci-fi story Harlan Ellison wrote in a single night in 1966 :(

    Hmm..

..well, let's see, based on Oldhand's qualities:
    - must have a good sense of humor..
    - must be "old" enough..
    - must have enough free time..
    - must be neutral enough..
    - and did i mention, must have a good sense of humor??..:);)
..hmm, new hand or handle-name??...If a new handle-name, may i suggest, based on Oldhand's link to his "picture" (on previous page).........................Mr. Clooney?!:cool:

Ahh, a dystopian society, dreamt subconsciously by the souls of those who seek to solve the imperfections of life and create a world of nearest utopia.

Reader of HG Wells' The Time Machine however would advise caution and seek to look for balance the struggle between humanity and nature.

This isn't a public owned site - there is no choosing of the moderators by popular demand.

That's a good one :D. While you try your hand at this 'new' job, try your other hand at writing to hmmm "Chicken Soup for....." My ehemm authoring skills arent good enuf yet for mat salleh standard.. so let ol & wise fellas like you go first.

JK Rowling is not your cup of tea, more of "Shogun" or Robert Ludlum, and the author of "One Flies Over The Cuckoo's Nest"

Oldhand did explain why he closed the thread

HaHaHa...... You and your bad jokes... :)

Actually, it was good that Oldhand did explain why he closed the thread; namely...

"The posts here do not seem to be helping anyone "improve badminton skills", which was the purpose of this thread."

He's on moderating probation at the moment, so we're conjuring up the scenarios that would make him our own Peter Parker (minus silly suits and Mary Jane). ;)
