If he wins, besides having 3 consecutive AG MS gold to show, he also have the OG gold, WC gold, multiple TC titles, multiple IO titles, youngest player to reach the AE finals....... fantastic achievements for a gifted/natural player unlike some player who needed further development and much more extra efforts to be where Taufik was.
..Taufik may not be 17 yrs old when he reached the 1999 AE (yes, there are reports he is actually older than the given date of birth of 1981)..If that's the case, then there are a couple other female players who reached the AE Final when they were 18 yrs old..
I only believe in facts given by established organizations such as BWF and not from those rumours have it kind of things or any kind of self-creations statistic by unknown amateur.
..anyone wants me to show the rest of BC proof of a rumour created by unknown amateur from BC, i may add, mentioning TH's real age??..
..(i brought this up before) for those who question abt TH's age, please see post #11 of this thread below and note the "unknown amateur who made the rumour or self creation statistic" abt TH's real age...you guys can believe it or not: http://www.badmintonforum.com/vb/showthread.php?59468-Taufik-Hidayat-getting-worse As for TH being the youngest MS player ever to play in the AE Final, perhaps he is. But he certainly is not the youngest player (male or female) ever to play in the AE Final..
Actually I'm not TH's fan but I followed him since he was 15 y.o. He really looked younger than INA's junior players at that time. I don't believe the rumour abt Taufik's age is unreal. If TH stole the age, his age would be equals with Wong Choong Hann, Lee Tsueng Seng, James Chua, Rony Agustinus etc. We can compare how far the performance and stamina of those players.
is this for real??? i just know about this age cheating..so sad to hear that.. but why TH do age cheating??
..why ask me??..you should ask the poster who made that comment in that link.... i was also a bit surprised but i had heard/read rumors of it before, way before the poster who made that comment in that link mentioned it..
Thursday August 26, 2010 Only Taufik left to carry Indonesia’s flag in Paris FIRST, it was Sony Dwi Kuncoro. And now, Simon Santoso is out with a back injury. And a lonely Taufik Hidayat of Indonesia says that he does not have a choice but to give his best to keep his nation’s flag flying high in the world championships. And the independent player has vowed to give his best. Yesterday, the 2006 world champion staged a great comeback to beat Hsieh Yu-hsin of Taiwan 19-21, 21-19, 21-9 in the second round to set up a match against Thailand’s Tanongsak Saensomboonsuk for a place in the quarter-finals. Tanongsak pulled off an upset, knocking out All-England runner-up and 12th seed Kenichi Tago with a 22-20, 21-19 win. Taufik said that the ill fate of the two Indonesian national singles players would not put undue pressure on him. “Simon withdrew because of a back problem (he had to concede a walkover to Taiwan’s Hsueh Hsuen-yi). He told me about it at breakfast. “Sony did not even turn up in Paris because of a similar problem. This is unfortunate,” said the 2004 Athens Olympic champion. “But there is no pressure on me. It will only give me an extra motivation to play even better.” Taufik’s match against Yu-hsin in the second round was scheduled ahead of those for top seeded Malaysian Lee Chong Wei and third seed and three-time champion Lin Dan of China. On whether he would stay back to watch the matches to be played by the two big guns, Taufik said: “It is not my habit to watch their matches. “I will go back, have a good rest and come back fresh tomorrow.” Taufik is in the same quarter with Chong Wei and if he makes it to the semi-finals, he can expect a match against Lin Dan. from: The Star go Taufik go...!!
Tough game tonight for Taufik. I expected him to have some problem with Tanongsak but seems like Taufik breezed past the hardhittng Thai. I hope for the best for Taufik later. My heart is with him as always. I'd be happy to see Taufik give LCW a harder time than in INA Open Finals... Now, where's my LCW bomoh doll??
TH beat LCW in the WC. This should silence his critics. TH is not finished yet, when he's in motivated form he still can beat anyone.
thats right! a lot of bc members think taufik has passed his prime time some even says he cheated his age and thus his real age should be older i think most of the top 5 players has the chance
looking at how park dispose of lin dan i think this korean must be full of ginseng left over the score was only 21-13, 21-13 omg, lcw should have tried harder on taufik!
