I strung my MX80 with BG80 and the feeling is quite hard and not easy to release power, as compared to the previous string BG66 which has more repulsion.

So, BG80 may not be suitable for MX60

 

Haha the you guys make the mx60 sound like it's such a good racket!!! If you guys may, can do a review on the MX60 vs BS11? I really liked and was about to buy the BS11, but after coming across this post, I'm not sure.

 

yep, hard feeling strings like bg80 should not be used on extra stiff rackets like mx80, as that would make the whole shaft and stringbed system super stiff and very demanding to play with

mx60 however is mid flex, so bg80 should be ok on it

 

BG80 is nice on the BS11, as well.

My fave string on the MX80 was VS850.

On the MX60 I'm either going to try red ZM67 or blue VS850.

 

mx60 work fine with high repulsion string like ngy98 as well. the string and the racket make the shuttle fly faster.

 

Actually in my opinion, if you search around this forum about all kinds of different Racquets from any brands, you will end up wanting to buy more & more racquets. It is always best to try the racquet before you buy.

 

i tried the mx80 tonight and was able to generate good power from it...but maybe the stiffness will cause me pain for long sessions... 60, 70 or 80... what to do what to do haha

Haha yea you're right, the problem is there is no way to get my hands on one before I buy it. They don't sell any Victors in stores here if I'm not wrong. I live in California.

 

Could you try any Yonex, Victor or Lining rackets from your fellow badminton buddies?

 

I've never tried a single racket before I bought it, and over the past 3 years I've had about 20. If you learn the specs and read the reviews, that's plenty of info. It's all part of the fun! Anyway, if you stick to well known rackets and shop around, if you don't like a racket you can often just sell it again for not much less than you bought it for.

 

wat is it like compared to the mx 70?

 

The MX60 is whippier and power is more accessible due to its medium stifness, that's what I feel.

 

Which racket feels more heavier and whippier though? =p The BS11 or the MX60? both 3U versions.

 

i tried the 80 and 70, unfortunately the 70 was 4u. here's my thoughts. during warm up i was in love with the 80, as i felt i could deliver great power and it feels very fast. Once i got into the game and didn't have time to set up for a powerful bomb everytime, i really had trouble releasing it's full potential consistently, and this also led to some discomfort in my elbow. as for the 70, although I couldn't get those real good crisp smashes like the 80, i was able to hit more consistently. Especially during a game where your opponent doesn't give you much time to set up. my smashes with the 70 were only slightly weaker than my smashes with the 80. definitely not enough to warrant the pain the 80 would cause if i tried to play with it for a long time. Although i haven't tried the 60 yet. I'd imagine it's the same concept. If you find you're a player who doesn't often have enough speed to set up for big smashes on a consistent basis, you'd be better of with the 60 over the 70 or 80. However, if you are looking for a happy medium, like i was. the 70 is your best bet. (i do hit quite hard)

 

I would agree with this - tested both with VS850 at 22lbs to be consistent though. Currently having my MX70 strung with the new VS660 to see what that combo is like.

 

after 20 days never use my late belove sw37, and just yesterday i weild it for one game. still mx60 has never beaten.
