    Hey all,

i've been doing some reserach on my next pair of shoes and I've narrowed my choices down to these three models. i'd like some input and experiences from ya'll! (durability and the like)

    thanks!

have you included in your considerations that the shb98, and shb89 is very difficult to source as they have been discontinued for quite some time?

the shb99low feels very alike the shb98, personally. so it might be a good one to get.

the shb99low's are still going strong, even after the beating of 6 hours a day, 5 days a week, for 2 months on a bad rough surface. and thats among various other uses for the shoe too between now and the time i got it.

the shb98's would of never have lived through that without serious signs of wear to show for it. thats why i never wore the 98's for those training sessions.

all variations of the shb99's are stronger than the shb98's.

what about the shb100MX? thats a great shoe too if you want great support with super light shoe and those new hexagons on the sole really increase the traction i find.

On durability and support the shb99 is the best of them, but imo it is the heaviest of these three shoes. SHb89 is the lightest of them and durability isnt good as far the shb99 is, and I think the design is bad. And shb98 i would say is the mxd of both, take shb98! My favourite shoe, but now I owning a pear of shb99 ltd (the red one)

we were geeky and weighed the shoes a little while back.
while we didn't record the weights (and we didn't control the sizing too well, but all the shoes were within 1 size of each other, so not too bad), the shb89 was the heaviest, shb99 weighed in-between, while the shb98 was the lightest. the shb99ltd version was almost as light as the 98's.
we didn't have a pair of 100s at the time yet to try.

    i wouldn't worry about it.
ultimately they're all still rather light, and the feeling we get from each shoe is subjective, totally different from one player to the next.
if it feels light to you, that is all that counts.

we think the weight savings for the other shoes come from the increasing use of mesh from one shoe to the next.
