More photos. Sorry for the double post of the review, but i have asked the mods to delete the old one.
Hate to repeat a question, but i might be getting a new racket soon and am considering the VTZF - how does it stack up to the N90?
@CanucksDynasty, i'll have to wait for my VT-80 to come back from warranty claim. I got into a clash, cracked the shaft.
I am buying a VT ZF for 235 USD from Calibre Badminton Australia. Do you think its worth the money and does anyone know how AS (australia) coded rackets compare against SP Rackets.
We have to wait for Optiblue or any other members here that can do comparison between VTZF, N90, & legendary AT700 1st gen
haha... Z-slash is the father, VT80 is the mother..... this give birth to VTZF.. get it? head heavy - VTZF >VT80 (thicker frame) Speed/recovery after smash - VTZF > VT80 (smaller frame head) Sweet spot- VT80> VTZF (smaller head frame) Power - VTZF> VT80 ( thicker frame/smaller frame) Control -VT80>VTZF ( shorter grip/ smaller frame).. Vibration - VT80>VTZF ( thicker frame) Recommended string - thicker string BG65 power/ BG80 power for hard hitter! If you are not hard hitter, forget about choosing VTZF! Tension-wise.... you should lower 1/2 to 1 lbs based on your normal standard frame racket!
@Juventus1 Thanks for the tips mate Btw, are u sure that we should lower our string tension until 1/2 - 1 Lbs for VTZF ? Care to explain the reasoning please ?
VTZF racket head is smaller than normal Isometric head, therefore the same tension of string would give higher stress to the VTZF frame, than normal isometric frame. If your normal tension is 25, by using same string you should string your VTZF at around 24.5 or 24 to give similar feedback as you would get on 25 tension normal Iso head. In my opinion, since you are switching between ISO & Oval head racket back & forth, adjusting your timing for VTZF is just like walking in the park. Place your order for 4U VTZF quickly, then i could go there for trial Oooppss... I am losing control when talk about VTZF...
Sounds good in theory, but what percentage of string length are you sacrificing with the ZF over a normal ISO? If say length-wise the head is 5mm shorter than ISO, that's only a 2% difference, which equals 0.54lb @ 27lbs. So let's say 0.5lbs
Finally, I had this racquet in my hand at All Englands. i also saw the limited edition which is due out in June - very nice although I prefer the green. Yes, it's heavier in the head and stiffer than VT80. Sadly I wasn't allowed to have a hit with it but will get hold of one very soon so that I can write a review. Paul www.badminton-coach.co.uk
Hey there, i'm back. It looks like my Photobucket bandwidth has exceeded the limit already. Shoot. My photos can't be displayed. Anyone knows a good photosharing service other than PB..? Anyways, Part 2 or my review is still going on, and this due to the fact that i tend to take a while to get accustomed to new rackets. I'm working my best to give good findings on the VT-ZF, but it might take a while though.
UPDATE: I decided to go Pro with PB, so that solves my issues there. For those who missed Part 1, you can find it here: http://www.badmintoncentral.com/for...Yonex-Voltric-Z-Force-)?p=1854886#post1854886
