it's time to revive this thread... nowadays a few players have followed Foo Kok Keong's legacy, and that is "Never Say Die" legacy. Here are the list of players that do most of the legacy: Lin Dan Lee Chong Wei Koo Kean Keat Cai Yun Jung Jae Sung and many more players that I dunno whom to desribe...
Yes, FKK is a great fighter in his playing days. Too bad that he messed up his life in the business. Hopefully he gets a second chance. This guy can really grind people to the floor. Bloody thick skin.. lol. A good playing partner.
FKK is not the only one screwiing around into business world and lost straight sets hehehe... Go ask Rashid Sidek .. he knows a thing or two about being bankrupt.... its a malaysian disease but the slogan today is.. if you fail... get up and try again...
This suppose to be a FKK thread. How he grapple with his money should not be discuss here. Let us discussed that the world would love to see another FKK coming to the fore. Did not win any majors did not play dynamic badminton... but boy he has influence in how today top class players play ... particularly the diving defense. Top players his day would not want to meet him. He would drain the last drop of blood from them..... That was the 15 point scoring system, difficult to do so now.
you are so right.. Now i have got him back to be involved in badminton and we are hosting his Foo Kok Keong Challenge trophy this May 2013
do you have latest picture of him? i think i met him in Putra Stadium during Malaysia Open 2013 he was buying some YY merchandise and I just stand next to him... but I am not sure whether the guy is him... I looked at him and I smiled to him and he nodded back wish to take a picture with him as he is my true idol... when i started playing badminton, i dived like him but on cement floor.....
yes. he is training with all my team this saturday(3pm) at kelab shah alam selangor. google the map please.

Or Against Alan Budi Kusuma in 1992. The old work horse would just grind you away http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tlbTO3WDfDQ
which is why I post those videos here for everyone to see. FIGHTING FOO is not remembered by the youngsters or even by new crop of players these. He may not have won any majors, cant even say he was a top single player of his time, but his game had a profound influence on coaches who incorporated into the training of players who came after him. Top players today should give him some tribute.
