Since my last post on this thread, I had a couple of more broken rackets but didn't take any pictures.

The one below happened last week against PeteLSD and SilentHeart. I smashed and heard a "crack" but the racket didn't break. Then I did a few dry swings just before the serve, there was a big "crack" sound and the racket went to Heaven. :p

I bought five of the yellow Ti10s and two of them got soft and flexy in the shaft real fast. So, I sold all of them, the two soft and flexy ones to girls. :)

I think they would have gone with continued use.

    Hi Sir Dink,

Since you have tested so many type of racquets, do you prefer soft frame or hard frame racquets ?

I intend to purchase a SOTX Woven 7, but my fiend tols me the frame and shaft was a bit soft. Is it true ?

This is not a tricky qestion :D

The Woven 7 is a forgiving racket. It's not flexible or soft but it's certainly not uber stiff. It's, I would say, near ideal. :D

    Another At700 RIP

:crying::crying:I'm gonna stick to cheaper rackets now (read SOTX, Apacs or victor):crying::crying:

Done my last AT700 in, with a mishit smash, Mishit it on the string, snapped the string and heard the frame cracking all in a few seconds. Doh'hhh!!!!

aiyah i have yet another one to add to this my beloved Forza Kevlar 7 has hit its final shuttle. so it happened last night im not sure how long it has been broken since i thought the racquet looked a lil out of shape at the beginning of the night and felt weird while playing but i didnt actually notice till i played singles and i stared at it and looked it over and saw the crack. so its only cracked on the inside though not the outside which im not sure how that one happened didnt involve a clash or anything either. oh well im done with forza for this season anyways now moving onto black knight racquets.

    another one bites the dust

My Woven 8 has decided to join its fellow fallen comrades on badmintoncentral. *cue sad music*

My trusty Woven 8 has left me today. I am not sure how it broke. No clash, must have been a mishit on the birdy or the floor. The racquet was strung with Ashaway MP at 27 pounds. This racquet holds many happy memories of my holiday in HK. R.I.P May you live forever in this forum.

    Doh!!

Managed to stay away from the racket breaking scene for quite a while, but did one in last week. AT300 4ug4, framed a smash and off it went.:crying::crying:

Learned something new though - I always thought the G-force Ti or (Super Alloy in this case) at the top of the Armortecs were mesh, but turns out it's a thin(ish) piece of metal stuck onto the frame. You can see just a bit of it exposed in the 3rd picture.

Fortunately I'm nowhere near the one and only BC panda - in about 5-6yrs of serious playing, I've broken:

    1x Iso 65
    1x MP23
    1x AT500
    1x Woven 9
    2x AT700
    1x Cab 15
    1x PW 12
    1x At300

I'm sure panda can do these in 1 yr :p!

Wow, so sad to see all of these badminton rackets broken. I would be heart broken if any of my rackets broke.
