Actually I know from sources close to them that adidas has developed the range with Japanese engineers and have invested heavily in moulds for their rackets... let's see the result but at least it is a serious development

Hmmm... be interesting to see how those shoes feel - although I have a feeling the YY (and victor) shoes are probably still better suited for badminton...

Errrm: check their official facebook page as posted on page 1 in post #1 ;)

Not liking those shoes, at all (not today and not a week ago :D)... And seeing as they have been up for over a week it hasn't wowed anyone enough to post them here, until today :p. The existing ones look way better (BT/BD Feather), these look like Adidas' take on the Yonex SC series . In practice they might be very similar to the BD Feather 2 ...

Or one of Victor's stringing machines. Or any other machine...basically there are two manufacturers of badminton stringing machines, one of them Yonex and the other one producing them for all others.

there are more than 2, but probably not more than a dozen.

Yonex's OEM is Toyo Zouki, located in Japan. some of their OEM customers are Yonex and Kimony. beautifully engineered but very expensive.

Victor, LN, and looks like Adidas went to Exthree/Porex.

and then there is KEF and Eagnas, etc.

Their racket design is different, getting away from the Yonex and Victor fancy schmancy, more like Babolat

Ugly you mean :D? (kinda of a mixed bunch really from the looks of it, some are pretty decent looking yes)

From the trade show pics (that they have posted up themselves ;)), not sure if it means anything but Axelsen's picture was placed at the 4th line they are carrying: "Switch". Might be the "specially" developed one for him with only two models in the line versus five for the others. Saw one pic where you could remove a strip from the top of the frame which must be interchangeable with something, probably different weights? Also a vague glimp of their chart and taking the Yonex chart these are on the ArcSaber spots but means nothing if the axes are different ...

You can also read the Power Series - Adipower top technologies: Dual Force Frame, Repulsion Power Shaft, Pure Carbon (sound familiar :D?) and Drive Feel Cap. Switch, not many top technologies other than that switch: 76 holes something and something grip.

    So we will have:
    • Fast Series - Adizero (must have at least a Pro and a Tour as well then)
    • Smart Series - Switch (Pro, Tour)
    • Power Series - Adipower (Pro, Tour, P800, ...)
    • Pure Precision Series - Precision (must have at least a Pro and a Tour as well then)
    • Junior Series

Wait and see for the racket, but definitely no need to wait and see for their shoes :D

Seems like they are new bags in blue/silver and black/red. Looks like they could be a 9, 6 and rectangle version :) ...

They look like Carlton shuttles (also comes as same skirt as the Adidas). Also the "Pure Carbon" as found in the Adipower is also marketed by that customworks brand run by an ex-Carlton employee and is probably the same thing as the Japanese HM Carbon used by Carlton?
Any chance Dunlop is part of the Adidas Group :D? Easy enough to look up (will check later) ...
Last thing we need to hear is that the Adidas rackets will be 670mm long [IMG][IMG][IMG]!

Thought as well that Carlton may produce their shuttles after seeing them. The rackets however do not look like Carlton rackets.

But maybe they are using the same factory, this Pure Carbon thing is just a little too coincidental in combination with the shuttles :D. On the other hand of course the supply of such carbon is not or should not be exclusive to one factory ...

Thanks for the info, demolidor... i could not wait to see the design and feel the quality...Surely it would be far better than Yonex SP bags.
