It is still too early to say Li Ning can beat other brands. We still do not know their quality and the feel of the racket. Maybe China National team using it extremely well, but, all those are hi end racket. How may of us can afford? What I try to say is, what about their medium and medium low racket? Can they beat other brands in term of pricing and quality?
The shirt kept the sweat from dripping onto the floor?.. ..i don't know abt you guys, but i watched the Semifinal MS match up between LD and LCW and i can surely remember LinDan asking the court moppers to mop away whatever wet spots were on the mat. For sure, he asked quite a few times.
Don't recall the LD/LCW game. But during the doubles games in the Final, the CHN pairs asked for mopping frequently. In the latter case, it was clearly more tactical moves than anything else. LN shirts are no magic. It was said to have the same material as some tennis shirts that gave those tennis players the same tight, wet look. LN has dry look shirts too. Therefore, it is reasonable to conclude that the wet effect, intentional or not, was more a design decision than incompetence. Not that you have to like it, it is just a choice.
Hmm.. ..i don't know if it's really a tactical/strategical attempt/moves, and i don't really recall past matches involving LD (or other CHN players/pairs), but certainly the court moppers were mopping the side of LD's court more than LCW's. Talk abt the shirt absorbing the sweat more, eh??.. I haven't watched the doubles matches, but i won't be surprised either if they mopped the court for the same reason.
heard from my neighbourhood badminton store owner he says Li Ning rackets is quite expensive the cheapest would cost around MYR 300++
My friend's collection (taken from Angkasa Sport Hall, Pekanbaru, Indonesia last week) : small kid (shop owner's child) holds Woods N90 :
Somebody seems to have advised Li Ning that the route to becoming a top global brand is to start out with expensive prices. Ordinarily, that might be a sneakily sensible ploy --- but not when the 'product' is from China. Gaudy? You bet! Good? Um, OK. Value for money? Nah!
What's that supposed to mean? Though I'd say it's...funny...in a sense... I don't know about Li-Ning racquets, but I won't be getting one anytime soon because the price of them topped the most Yonex even with discount. I'm very tempted to get one and support the brand but the price is high.
hmmm......well certain people who are curious about it will buy thierproduct...but for people who's wallet is not "healthy " most of the time , as long as the racquet is playable be it Yonex, fleet, Victor or etc , they'll buy it..
I'm not sure , but perhaps if Lin Dan dived for a shot , then the sweat would remain on the floor. The T-shirt says that it will not drip sweat , but if Lin Dan dived then the sweat could remain on the floor.
Either way.. ..from what i watched, it happened in both scenarios. They mopped the court when he dove and put his sweaty hands, arms, knees on the court as well as when he was just standing still, drying his neck, arms, face. If i recount & not mistaken, the latter happened once in the 1st game and once in the 2nd game. In one instance, the referee denied his request to ask the floor mopper to mop the court. Certainly less than LCW.
The best judge on Li Ning's shirts are the players, don't you think so? After all the country's honour was at stake. Just imagine, taking a gamble on something because of nationalism and then losing the title because of it.
are those rubber mats? or flat floor painted that way? cause i dont see the mat seperation lines and sponsors or anything...
looks pretty good. Similiar too the main hall near me. Only problem is our floor is blue with multi lines such as basketball/netball and badminton. And the blue is fairly dark so its hard to see the different areas at times
