Need of the hour: WSX V2.0 WSX needs to re-invent herself, and rejig her game. It's not working for her. Most of the top players have sorted her out. If she goes on like this, she'll just lose confidence in herself, and from there it's just a downward spiral. She had reduced her game to a sort of no-frills, bare essentials form. The danger was always that her opponents would recognise the weaknesses of this one-dimensional approach, and yank her around. That day is now here. There is no doubt that WSX is a class player, still way above the crowd. But that is not good enough. Ever since her win at the All England, she's been fairly pedestrian, and in some instances, completely toothless. That should send warning bells ringing all through her body. WSX is known to be a tigress, but what use is a toothless tigress?!? Her win at the China Masters was not a clear indication, because it came against mostly home players. I'm sure her coaches and support team know what is needed to be done. I just hope they do it quickly. WSX is too good a player to fade away so quickly; that would be a shame, and a loss to all of us.
