Hi Alex, FYI. Asics gel sensei 2 is an awesome shoe with perfect cushioning, top model at release time. For this shoes, you can't request for a good grip and fast movement. look at the high and cushion of this shoes i think you will understand. But for a knee treatment, if you got knee problem, this shoes is perfect. For fast movement, good grip, you may look for GEL Blast 3 or 4. you are welcome.
my friend sell asics. which model you are interesting in? are you using line or whatsapp? i can offer you his line or whatsapp
Could u pm me ur friend number so that I can whatsapp him directly? I had just bought one today at Pertama Complex...but probably my brother is also looking for one...Gel Blast 4
The Gel Beyond are a tiny bit more narrow in the front foot area than my yonex shb 102, size is the same as my yonex (EU 44 , US 10). In the midfoot area I do not feel a difference to my yonex.
So far I tried the Blast3 and Progressive shoes, I just received a pair of Beyond (the white/blue version). So far I can say the Blast3 is most lowbuilt, the entire sole is so thin you're very close to the ground. The Progressive is higher, but also a lot heavier shoe, mine developed a weird creaking sound so I send them back. The Beyond's are about as high as the Progressive's, but feel a lot lighter and look a lot less clunky. I'm curious to see how the Beyond's play, the cushioning and light weight are promising.
HI, Just my 2cent of opinions. I have been wearing Gel Blade 3 for around 1-2 years ago before my Archilles injuries (not blaming the shoe). I find it is a well balance shoe in between of 1movement & support which I like the Gel support very much. It is not that heavy as I could quickly leap & jump fast. Before that I was using Yonex & Gosen shoes. But now after recovering from my injuries, I have bought Gel Blast 4 as I was told it has better support & stability but I find it a little heavier probably due to its slightly higher cut & double gel. Well, to compare both the Gel Blade 3 & Gel Blast 4, the gel blast 4 are on the wide feet side as I bought the same size but the gel blast 4 are a little loose when I wear it. I can feel the difference in the weight when I wear the Gel Blast 4 but I feel more solid & it wrapped my ankle well. So I couldn't complain much as now what I want more is support due to my injuries but actually it doesn't affect much on the speed. Both the Gel Blade & Gel Blast are good quality badminton shoes.
in sg, where to get Gel Blade & Gel Blast ? do u know the price range ? genuine or synthetic leather ?
May I suggest, when you compare with other branded shoe like yonex, victor, lining.... Please stated with model. Yonex has 3 category level of shoe. SHB (hi end to mid), Ultima (lower mid) and WC (low end).
Can someone please compare the Gel Blade 4 to the Gel Blast 4 in term on comfort and fit for wide feet. thanks
Profile might look abit too high and narrow sole, but so far its stability is ok. Very comfortable even with Ankle guards and socks inside. Looks wonderful and had alot of positive comments. Definitely a keeper
For people who has owned the Asics Gel Beyond, or Asics shoes in general what are the widths like? Are they 3E like normal badminton shoes or 2E? I have wide feet and if they're narrow shoes then that might be a problem...
I feel the same way. I bought the Gel blade 3 which is very similar to the other asics badminton shoes and for my wide foot a shoe with a pretty high sole, compared to other badminton shoes, and the narrow sole arent good solutions.
Then Gel Blast 4 is probably suitable for wide foot. Before changing to Gel Blast 4, I was wearing the Gel Blade 3 and both the same size but I felt the Gel Blast 4 is loose & wide.
Just came across this ... Blast 4 imported from Japan. Unless you (really) have really wide feet I think the Blade 3 should be okay. For me it is just too narrow as are most Asics models but on a clearance sale you could try and get a size up (Blade 3 was 35 euro at Asics outlet, 80 euro when I was there two weeks before . Friends with fairly wide feet both snagged a pair)
