GJ should let go the 2nd game and concentrate on the 3rd.

Gu Juan must be playing well and motivated. Four smash winners, that's good. But,otoh, LXR could be a bit tired(esp after the insect bite incident) from last week's tourney and her inaccuracy and overall consistency is not up to par.

Let's see if GJ with her rallying, energy-sapping game can upset her.

    I hope she hears you.

My wish is that she doesn't lose so badly as in G2. :D

But alas, LXR is angry and GJ is getting a thrashing, 11-1 at the interval!

My view is that GJ rattles too easily, whether she's leading or not, and that is very bad indeed! :(

Bye bye Love, better luck-of-the draw next time. ;)

Oops, GJ returns the compliment in G2, losing 21-11. Looks like LXR means business now, maybe she wants to ensure her SSF qualification before taking it easy.

GJ could not keep the momentum from the 1st game going. It would be nice if she had beaten the WR#1 and Olympic Champion.

Well, there is another time, another day.

Anyway, Sung JH is assured of SSF spot, hope she's not injured.

It used to be that Lee CW starts any match in the early rounds of any tournament in a blistering pace leaving his opponents far behind. Nowadays he plays like a slow starter, taking his time to warm-up. Or more to conserve energy ? But playing more rallies or 3-setters has the reverse effect, isn't it? Perhaps, it is something else - your guess is as good as mine.

Good move. Just doing the minimum to win. Turn on the turbo when needed.
