Are you sure? Because I can give him back no problem at all. I just want an official reply from Mr. leehsim even though it might obvious to you. Thanks for helping anyway.

Of course. Obviously they are counterfeit. Too counterfeit!

Do you understand how to read the date codes? Look at the second and third racket, it's pretty much self explanatory.

Also, do you know how much the genuine rackets sell for?

How official do you think Leehism is??
Why dont you send the codes to Yonex, Japan & get it verified; that way, it is really official!!!!

If you have nothing useful to say, why saying anything at all?

I posted serial, got a simple replying "fake" with the smiley icon that I wasn't even sure if he was mocking me or joking. I posted a reply asking for confirmation. Right after I got 2 posts bashing my question as I am too stupid not to see the obvious.

Well, I wasn't skeptical when buying the racket, what's wrong with being skeptical asking the question for 2nd time? At least I've learned something right?

What's wrong with you people, really?

Did you even bother to reply to my question?
If you think you need official confirmation, you need to contact Yonex, Japan; How else can you get official confirmation???

If you want to read through the posts and archieves, you will see why we will respond like that. You and just like others, do not do enough research and post. If you actually shown some evidence that you actually had read and researched some of this information, you would see a different response.

I really don't want to make a personal debate in the public forum, and I don't have that kind of time anyway, so thank you for all of your helping help and fun mocking new member.

To Malayali: Yes I read your post, it seems that you're tweaking "official" word for fun. If I really want official reply from Yonex, why would I come here? Asking someone who can check Yonex serial numbers like Mr. Leehism isn't "official" enough? Re-read your first post and tell me honestly you're sincere to help.

To Matt: Sorry I don't have time to read the archives, and sorry that I post my serials in "Post your serial thread." which is to you, obviously wrong so you have the right to make fun of people.

The feeling of "Oh I pay $xxx for a racket and this dude pay $xx so it's can't be true. Oops, what a relived, it's faked! I must make fun of this boy for his stupidity. If it's real I don't know if I can sleep through the night due to my jealously" Is that how you two thinking about people who buy faked rackets?

I trusted my friend and that's why I bought without hesitation, I think $170 is not expensive price to find out about a person that you trusted. Thanks for the great forum!

    woah, chill folks.

anyways, there's no need to wait for an answer from leehsim, the reason the guys here are saying that it's obviously a fake is because the serials don't match up to what a genuine yonex serial would look like. you can read all about this in post #1 of this thread.

i would say that if you could return the racquets, then do so. your friend has scammed you and i would also advise you to put a little less trust in him/her in the future.

Don't take it literally but we just type like that to tell you it's counterfeit.

Assuming you read the first post and understood the date/code format, you would of noticed the date code for the 3rd racket does not make sense. For the second racket, NS8K, was not made/introduced year 2000 as it was introduced years later.

Also if you read this thread below. It's not directly related but it also gives you an indicator of price. This is also applicable to other products besides badminton unless verified otherwise.

For the serial no. of 4959159, the valid date code should be between 31 May 2004 and 2 June 2004.
For the date code of 020656CH (date=2 Jun 2005), the valid serial no. should after 5578100.
IMHO, the Yonex Ti-10 of shaft serial: 4959159 cone code : 020656CH is a fake.

I have checked in the information of your Yonex Muscle Power 99 shaft Serial:6930803 ; Cone Date Code:010673UK (date=01 Jun 2007) to my information list of Yonex rackets made in Japan, its serial no. and date code are legitimate.

However you still need to inspect the other physical features of the racket carefully and compare the specifications to ascertain its total legitimacy or authenticity yourself.
