I had very bad experience in Gala Sports before too. The boss is quite rude. I hate the way he speaks, and show a very "lan ci" face to customer. I nvr go the shop after that. Sry, not purposely to flame it.
If everything work I will receive my first new TI-10 3rd Gen on monday~hope that lufthansa will do his job. Actually I wanted to buy the 2nd Gen but the shop owner told that the chance to buy a 2nd Gen is very low. I know that eshops like e78 still sells the 2nd Gen IP coded but however. I personal prefer to buy a raquet as a shop. If sth went wrong you still can complain Seems that emmy sports stocks didn´t carry them anymore. So my girlfriend just bought the 3rd Gen. does anyone know with which bag the ti 10 comes with? price: 740 HK$
FYI, e78 has a retail location. The 2nd and 3rd gen Ti-10s that I've purchased from e78 came with a 3 racket bag that I wouldn't use.
my first ti-10 =) My new TI-10 When I went to string it, my stringer was quite doubtfully about the string tension I requested around 24lbs~11kg with BG 80 maybe it was his first time but whatever. By searching through this forum I heard that the frame is a little bit fragile~or? I got a 3U G4 version should I use a lower tension?
24 Lbs should be fine clife, don't worry. By stringing it to 24 Lbs or even 26/27 Lbs, it won't destroy the racket, unless u have a bad clashing the racket with other things,eg ur partners racket.
WOOO HOOOOO!!!! i just got my TI-10 3rd gen 3UG5 BG80 26lbs two hours ago... cant wait to test it.. waaaaahhhh... so excited.. hehehhehe...
Don't go aove 26lbs. Constant stringing will cause the string to bite into the graphite. That's because yonex racket is quite fragile due to the graphite.
this is not necessarily what will happen as i have seen players constantly at 28lbs and they don't seem to have any problems. i think a good stringer will minimize the chance of this happening but i could be wrong.
If you're lucky to have a Ti10 of any gen and wish to play it long it's strongly recommended not to string it at any tension higher than 24lbs.
I disagree the Ti-10 can easily 26 lbs, Played with mine for 7 months at 26 and its still in perfect condition. Hope to go up to 27-28 next week, I'll comment more when I try it out.
I agree with canti as my Ti-10s have been strung at a higher tension for a long period of time (both 2nd and 3rd gens) and nothing has happened. It all comes down to the stringer in my opinion.
never said it wasn't at our own risk but if you frequently clash or mishit, then I would highly recommended players to stay around 24lbs.
I personally strung my Ti10 at 26x28 lbs around one year alr. Everything is still fine, except i mishit and paint chip quite easily, but the frame is in gd condition. I do believe the stringing skills of the stringer does affect it.
just got Ti-10 gen 1 in a great shape, but unfortunately 2u g5, too heavy for me....how much the proper price for my racket?
Changing grommets more regularly can minimize the chance of this happening, but this is often the case for Yonex for the bottom mains. Armortec series is prone to this problem therefore Yonex Japan is releasing grommet strips for most of the newer (higher end/widely distributed) series AT/NS that have this problem.
I agree. I think the Ti-10s are pretty robust rackets. My two 2nd gen yellow Ti-10s are four years old and I string them 26-28lbs. I counted the number of paint chips on one of them, and there's more than 40 on the frame alone, and some of them are pretty deep grooves into the graphite, but the rackets haven't broken and play fine. I've just had a whole sack load of new strings delivered, so I'm gonna be stringing everything up to 30-32 lbs for fun 'cos I don't care about breaking strings now. I had one MP99 strung at 32 lbs before (with BG70 Pro) and I loved it. I'm sure the Ti-10s can take it.
