Yeah, I should start a new thread dedicated to ZF sticker damages!! Bet it would affect all that "aerodynamic" engineering LOL! The only defense to the sticker issue is that it's actually a fantastic performing racket.
By then, you'd have at least half a dozen newer racquets to choose from! Personally, I'm a sucker for the new and improved, and zero patience.
I think it was worked out that it was every 2-4 months that it was changed (on average) so possible improvements on the way...
Lol. Every company uses stickers. It's WAY cheaper than printing it right on the racket. But usually, they're more durable than what we've seen on the ZF so far.....
Crap, this is what we get when there's no clear coat. Is there a way perhaps we could protect that sticker with a coat of clear nail polish?
"Decals" ... . Nothing a little athletic tape can't hide (& maybe prevent?). Just saw it was the 4 and 8 o çlock Maybe several layers of nail polish yeah ...
Yeah I was pretty shocked when I saw mine damaged after one string job. Thing is, the rest is painted, just that part is a sticker. Go figure. On further inspection, the shiny Z looks like a sticker too! Try it out, you'd have to do the whole racket to look nice and uniform. Lol! Hope not! I doubt YY will do anything for us lol!
Kwun, already posted the pics as per link above. On a side note... will I get a certificate form YY for the 1st broken Zf in the world?:crying:
not only were the cheapskate stickers damaged during stringing, they were also haphazardly pasted as they were extremely crooked. it really looks like a China finished product in all aspects. i have written in to both Yonex Japan as well as my local distributor. lets see what they say.
gosh ~ pretty bad QC there, is tis a common problem for YY rackets ? ZF is my first and i'm concerned if is easily damaged or broken i've had few clashes wif my T200 and the worse damage done was chipping on the coating layer so far
even Lining is made in china there is more durability at paint and racket.. same trouble with my vt80 easily getting scratch.. from the first string job got a paintchip.. yonex is very bad in paint durability.
Been following this thread for a while. Stickers are used in VT 80 also, under a layer of glossy finish. In my opinion, the difference is, because VT ZF is matte finished, Yonex cannot have it covered with any kind of protecting layer any more. About the paint durability, to me Yonex rackets are spectacularly good, comparing to Victor's, especially the BS series, they chip off like a nightmare, any where on the racket. Polishing paint is a good idea. If you want to keep the matte finish, simply cover it with some tape before applying the paint.
