Just a quick update. I jus collected my T2 from derrick around an hour ago. first feel = quick and light, however was slightly lighter and less head heavy as expected. Comment = when brought home for further inspection, realise tat there is a paint chip on the 3 oclock mark. i have jus removed the grip and replace it with a karakal PU grip. Will test it tommorow morning before doing another update on it.
Hello all, I am interested in the T2's because they seem more appealing to me since I'm using a Nanospeed 9000x. It is getting old now and probably won't last another two months. I think I saw a post that dinkalot used the SOTX scale to compare the stiffness of some yonex models to Panda racquets. So is the stiffness of the T2 relativly the same as the 9000x and is a BP under 285 headlight?
The T2's stiffness is supposed to be in between the NS9000 type s and type x. But there is something to the shaft that seems to provide easily accesible power for such a light racket. Higher kick-point maybe. bp 285 would be balanced for the T2. 280 would be headlight, and 290 would be moderately head heavy. IMHO of course.
It also depends on the weight but in general, 290 is head heavy for a T2 as the heaviest head measured so far is around 293. Panda was using a new 86.5g, BP290 T2 yesterday and it was a hammer compared to the 84.5g, BP290. Amazing the difference 2 ounces can make.
Sir Dink, what is it about the T2's shaft that gives it such easily accesible power? Did I surmise correctly about the kick-point? Is that part of the "dynamic power shaft"?
Played with my T2(v1) first time today, was easily on par with my arc10 all aspects and easier to use >< I like how the shaft is the same length as ArcZ and as stiff as arc10 couldn't believe how easy it was to swap from my arc10 (with LOTS weight tape,BP over 310) to the T2 (84.8gm- BP290) my only problem was because it's more headlight then my previous rackets took some time to adjust serving and touchy net shots... In the end its so good I'm considering buying another one. Price to performance is to good. .....Performance is to good. sad now have to get T2(v2)
Good to hear jaiyen! Considering the huge difference in weight as well as BP, I was initially afraid that the specs might be too different for your liking. But again, the quality of the racket prevails
Some update weapon T2 version 2.1 string zymax 62 Tension 25 paint work= solid, except for a paint chip at the 3o clock direction (hope it is not a crack) initial feel, thou that it was too light and too head light for my liking (coz i used to be using a yonex mp 99) But i was quite comfy with it after awhile. and managed to have a great game with this new weapon. Realised that this racket is more for wristy player rather than arm power player. if there is a chance for me to change this racket... i will change it to slightly more head heavy to a bp of ard 290, which may fit my stlye of play. Advantages of the new T2= Quick and consider quite powerful for a racket with 85.6g and 287bp. defnitely a good tool to use in doubles cheers btw this will be my number 1 choice racket as for now haha anybody wants to switch their racket with a bp 290 for my bp 287? lol
Just to clarify things a little bit. We should call Panda Power Trinity 2 (version 2) T2v2 instead of T2.1 We'd assume the origional T2 becomes T2.0, then the one after will be T2.1 Panda has corrected me by pointing out there is NO T2.1 There is only Panda Power Trinity 2(version 2) or T2v2 =P If everone starting using the word T2v2 Panda will for sure be HAPPY!
Thank you Sir, but Panda believes it's the user that has improved and, as a result, elevated to the next level; not because of the racket. The T2 just happened to be the lucky racket along the way.
Panda is too modest. It's true that the racket does not make the player,... but in the T2 it sure helps the player. With a light stable frame and an interesting kick-point in the shaft for near effortless power from wristy/forearm shots, it sure has elevated both my attack and defence, while at the same time allowing me to conserve energy to be able to last longer on the court and have some extra mental energy to play more tactically. All this compared to my previous Yonex Ti Swing Power SS, so others mileage may vary. I may just buy a NS9900 just to compare and satisfy my curiosity.
