there isn't any GP toureys in Europe at the moment, and I believe that Viktor/Viktor's coaching team, are only concentrating on international events at the moment. GP tourneys next year, perhaps
Last week I made an interview with Viktor and we talked a bit about the world's, becoming a star and his team in the Danish League. You can watch the interview here.
Just read he signed a sponsorship deal with Red Bull http://www.badzine.de/ansicht/datum/2011/01/04/viktor-werden-fluegel-verliehen.html In the meanwhile he was also named Danish talent of the year during the Copenhagen Masters ...
http://www.tournamentsoftware.com/sport/draw.aspx?id=3DE97B42-BB18-41A9-A1BB-626FE6EDFA99&draw=2 mmh a few good shuttlers are on his road to the trophy, including Ville Lang at the second round...
Just read he changed from head to yonex. Good deal for yonex, sponsoring europes rising star now. http://www.badminton.dk/Nyheder/Arkiv/2011/03/Viktor Axelsen vinder DM for U19.aspx (it is danisch, but enough to understand a little)
Thanks for the info. Yes, that's a very smart move from Yonex.. will ask viktor what racket he will use
Beat WC Hann after winning through 3 qualifying matches at SIngapore, be interesting to see if he can compete at all with Bao today, seems unlikely, apart from Bao's quality it will be Viktor's 5th match in 3 days. Still he is rocketing up the rankings. Even if he loses tomorrow he should break into the top 40 with the points, he will be highly seeded for smaller events and avoid qualifying at bigger events and that will make it easier for him. The Danes think he will be top ten in a couple of years, and they have some other talented juniors.
