It has changed. During my younger days, it was 12, then 10 and now 8. Last Sunday I attended one in the afternoon, 127 tables, cocktail starts at 11.30am and dessert was served at 5.00pm. Some left after the 5th dish.

On another note, there was one dinner with only 6 dishes.

In HK, it is 10 dishes and then some biscuits and sweets (not included as part of the ten dishes).

Usually people will take the approximate price of the table, divide by number of people on table and angpau that. You are always welcome to give more.:)

How does it work in Malaysia and the wedding of the decade ? ;)
