Favourites China lived up to expectations, trouncing the Koreans 3-1 in the finals to capture their third team title in the junior world championships since its introduction in 2004. After being blanked out 3-0 by the superior Chinese team yesterday, the young Malaysian shuttlers bounced back to beat India 3-2 for the third place. Malaysia's mixed doubles Teo Kok Siang-Vivian Hoo Kah Mun gave the lead with a win over India's R.M.V. Gurusaidutt-Prajakta Sawant 21-8, 21-17. But single's player Flora Ng Siew Foong was stopped by rising Indian star Saina Nehwal at 9-21, 6-21 while men single's player Iskandar Zulkarnain stumbled to Prakash Aditya at 12-21, 22-20, 24-26.
