    Seasons Greetings to all,

    And let us sing together...

    Dashing through the snow
    In a one horse open sleigh
    O'er the fields we go
    Laughing all the way

    Bells on bob tail ring
    Making spirits bright
    What fun it is to laugh and sing
    A sleighing song tonight

    (chorus)
    Jingle bells, jingle bells,
    Jingle all the way;
    Oh! what fun it is to ride
    In a one-horse open sleigh.

    Jingle bells, jingle bells,
    Jingle all the way;
    Oh! what fun it is to ride
    In a one-horse open sleigh.

    Our neighbours started putting up their decorations in like early September. It was kind of akward because Halloween was coming up and kids usually rely on decorations to figure out whether or not people in the house are passing out candy. So the kids weren't sure if the Christmas decorated houses were passing out candy or not.

    Jingle Bells: 2nd verse

    So... we hope that you are singing with us, the most often sung (and remembered) Xmas song, "Jingle Bells". :):):)

    Here comes the second verse;

    A day or two ago
    I thought I'd take a ride
    And soon Miss Fanny Bright
    Was seated by my side,

    The horse was lean and lank
    Misfortune seemed his lot
    He got into a drifted bank
    And then we got upsot

    (chorus)
    Jingle bells, jingle bells,
    Jingle all the way;
    Oh! what fun it is to ride
    In a one-horse open sleigh.

    Jingle bells, jingle bells,
    Jingle all the way;
    Oh! what fun it is to ride
    In a one-horse open sleigh.

    Chestnuts roasting on an open fire,
    Jack Frost nipping on your nose
    Yuletide carols being sung by a choir,
    And folks dressed up like Eskimos.

    Everybody knows a turkey and some mistletoe,
    Help to make the season bright.
    Tiny tots with their eyes all aglow,
    Will find it hard to sleep tonight.

    They know that Santa's on his way;
    He's loaded lots of toys and goodies on his sleigh.
    And every mother's child is going to spy,
    To see if reindeer really know how to fly.

    And so I'm offering this simple phrase,
    To kids from one to ninety-two,
    Although its been said many times, many ways,
    A very Merry Christmas to you

    'Christmas Song' by Nat King Cole

    Hi wilfredlgf,

    Yes... Let us make the season bright. :):):)

    And you have just caused me to pop in Nat King Cole's Xmas CD to listen to his version of 'Christmas Song'.

    And at the the end of his singing, the tune of 'Jingle Bells' was also included.

    Jingle Bells: 3rd verse

    And then... after receiving a few greetings from PM@BC and from Facebook... :):):)

    Here comes the third verse;

    A day or two ago,
    The story I must tell
    I went out on the snow,
    And on my back I fell;

    A gent was riding by
    In a one-horse open sleigh,
    He laughed as there I sprawling lie,
    But quickly drove away.

    (chorus)
    Jingle bells, jingle bells,
    Jingle all the way;
    Oh! what fun it is to ride
    In a one-horse open sleigh.

    Jingle bells, jingle bells,
    Jingle all the way;
    Oh! what fun it is to ride
    In a one-horse open sleigh.

    Jingle Bells: 4th verse

    Here comes the 4th verse;

    Now the ground is white
    Go it while you're young,
    Take the girls tonight
    and sing this sleighing song;

    Just get a bob tailed bay
    Two forty as his speed
    Hitch him to an open sleigh
    And crack! you'll take the lead.

    (chorus)
    Jingle bells, jingle bells,
    Jingle all the way;
    Oh! what fun it is to ride
    In a one-horse open sleigh.

    Jingle bells, jingle bells,
    Jingle all the way;
    Oh! what fun it is to ride
    In a one-horse open sleigh.

    Sorry Christmas

    chris, this is blatantly insensitive :p

    we have neither snow nor horses nor sleighs here :crying:
    and if you want to jingle bells, you have to get a police permit :rolleyes:

    Muffle bells, muffle bells,
    muffle all the bells
    Oh, what fun it is to ride
    in a non-stop police car :D

    "Jingle Bells" was the first song broadcast from space

    Hey Oldhand,

    OK... So, there is no snow in Singapore. ;););)

    There's no snow in Space either. But did you know...

    "Jingle Bells" was the first song broadcast from space, in a Christmas-themed prank by Gemini 6 astronauts Tom Stafford and Wally Schirra, on 16-December-1965.

    Australian version of "Jingle Bells": 1st verse

    Hi Amor_tec_14,

    In Glasgow now, it must be very cold.

    But in Australia, it's scorching HOT !!! :D:D:D

    Hence... we have our Australian version of "Jingle Bells".

    Here comes the 1st (Australian) verse;

    Dashing through the bush
    In a rusty Holden Ute
    Kicking up the dust
    Esky in the boot

    Kelpie by my side
    Singing Christmas songs
    It's summer time and I am in
    My singlet, shorts & thongs

    (CHORUS)
    OH, JINGLE BELLS, JINGLE BELLS
    JINGLE ALL THE WAY
    CHRISTMAS IN AUSTRALIA
    ON A SCORCHING SUMMER'S DAY

    JINGLE BELLS, JINGLE BELLS
    CHRISTMAS TIME IS BEAUT
    OH WHAT FUN IT IS TO RIDE
    IN A RUSTY HOLDEN UTE

    Hi Chris@ccc

    HAha That's a funny one. Well It's not freezing outside but it's cold. It's roughly about 3'C but I WISH IT WOULD SNOW !!:p:D
    My aunt was over in New Zealand for years and she is only 30. She met Her boyfriend there and then they travelled Australia. They said it is beautiful.
    I know that is slightly off topic but I just thought I would say hehe :p
