No sir, we didn't play as it was raining in the evening. I meant that the court is good enough for me to enjoy games. ;)

    Thank you all so much.

Very nice pics from hola4. ;)

I wish hola4 could shoot the "top" to give a better idea of the "tallest" badminton court in the world (wow! another first for S'pore? hehehe :p)

I believe there is no special court lights and the lighting comes from the surrounding 'wall' buildings. :D

The court looks very professional and tastefully drawn and painted (?). :)

I'm sure players will be very much encouraged by the open viewing gallery that may attract fans to come and cheer.

BTW, an excellent place to practise the very, very high serve to confuse your opponent, especially when there is a gasp of naughty wind to assist the already dizzling flight.:D:D

    Hi Rosli

Starting from 17th May, pls reserve 3 slots for us. Thus I think 1 court 3 hours will be better. :)

Myself may leave earlier to attend my own session at Yew Tee. But when no court booked at Yew Tee, I will stay to play till last minute and then go for coffee with everybody after game. :)

Btw, I will also bring shuttles.

A very special and unique badminton court

Hi guys, I visited your secret hideout during lunch time yesterday and must say I'm impressed by its gigantic height and uniqueness. :p

Perched high up on the 37th floor, I think this International Plaza court has no equal elsewhere. The court is located amidst residential units on three sides in a popular building with the staircase forming the remaining wall to protect the winds from coming through. It is thus enclosed on four sides. However the entire setup is not wind-proof as the open space in the lift lobby allows the breeze to flow in.

The court opens up to the sky, another 13 storeys up in this 50-storey residential cum commercial building. There is no glass roof to prevent the rains from invading the court. For lighting, there are two spot lights mounted on the left side and another two on the right side of the condo units, about two storeys high.

There are long wooden benches on both sides and the place is clean and welcoming with hanging money plants on almost every floor. And the court is done up tennis-style, with green painted on concrete flooring and red on the outside.

The gym and a small pool are located adjacent to the badminton court about two floors lower, I think.

Quite a pleasant experience playing here I'm sure, especially when there is no rain or wind. :D
