Hey demolidor. Is the Blast 4 wider than the Blade 4. I've try the Gel Sensei, it's too narrow for me and too hard. I'm looking for a wider pair though I like the look of the Blade 4 to go a long my Mizuno Wave.

Don't think I've come across Blast 4 in the shops. This pic was taken from a chinese forum and I couldn't help but notice the "slim" tag. From vague memory I would say the Blade 3 might be a tiny but wider than Sensei 2 (which was also too narrow for me). Blade 4 is brand new, also haven't seen it yet ...

I would just forget about Asics and get the SHB-82WEX from Hong Kong. Which Mizuno do you have?

It is Wave Smash RG3 (7KM-05162), listed as 3E which is the same as most Yonex and is standard width.
On the Asics Japan website is has "slim" last for the Blast 4 and "regular" last for Blade 3 ... I assume this is the same as 2E and 3E for Mizuno? (with 4E the true wide model)

The difference between your Mizuno and Blade 3 for example is the Blade 3 has these supports at the side like the Yonex claws. I could really feel those when I tried them on. If it didn't had that I could probably wear them ...

You mention the Asics Outlet. Do you mean an Asics Outlet in The Netherlands? If so, where can I find it? €35,- seems like an excellent deal, as my current Gel Blade 3 is worn out. Thank you

The one at Batavia, but this was 2 months ago. Last time I was there there were none left but the previous model Gel Domain was new in stock (also at ~80 euro, so wait till it drops [IMG]. Been meaning to check but not come around to it). I think I did actually see the Gel Blast there now that I think of it but the model does not appeal to me at all (not at clearance price yet in any case then).

Thanks a lot! I thought there would be another Asics Outlet, but I've been at Batavia Shopping Center a couple of times before (my family lives practically 5 minutes away from there). I'll certainly have a look when I'm around, so fingers crossed if they have some (other) good deals.

Something of a miracle: one last pair and in my size as well . Thought I'd try them on and surprisingly they fit a lot better than only one size smaller. Also tried on the Gel Beyond old model in 28cm (that Joachim Persson for example is still wearing and Tine Baun and a few more danish ladies). Very comfortable shoe I must say, very cushioning sole as did the Gel Progressive have. Actually tried the ladies model of that last one so if it is smaller (narrower) than the men's you can fit wide feet in a Blade, Beyond (old) and Progressive ... Prices remained unchanged: Beyond was still €77, Blast 4 was €60, Sensei 3 was €93. Progressive was also a last pair in 27.5cm but a ladies model at €33.
Forgot to mention: these Blade 3 weigh 354gr. at US9.5/27.5cm (actually right was 355gr. and left 353gr.)

Excuse the poor pic, took it last night during the football Confed Cup. Will update it with one at daylight later ... Check out the difference vs Wheelie's Blades :)D the lacing) http://www.badmintoncentral.com/for...ics-new-Gel-Progressive?p=2003159#post2003159

What a bargain! I'm going for the Blade again. My Blades are quite worn out, but still comfy. Problem with my Blades is that the seam at the toe-section (big toe) is loose/torn. Makes it an extra ventilation hole ;)

:D You are actually considering this monstrousity???

Obviously it is a high cut volleyball shoe ... Then again upon closer inspection it seems to be called "Birdrushing" [IMG]. Looking around some more they are selling it at Shuddle House and a low cut version also exists. In any case: seems to be an old model from 2006?

Here it is, seen it before now that I visit this page again (not buying that it is a "badminton" shoe :p): http://www.asics.co.jp/products/badminton/A/detail/~TOB511&A
TOB515 looks a little like Lin Dan's clogs though ;)

Model is discontinued, maybe out of stock already?

Birdrushing is rather 'high'. Blade 3 mostly out of stock.
