Cheeseheads vs. the Men of Steel for Super Bowl XLV's glory.. ..or is it the Steelheads..aahh, a rematch of last season's (2009-2010) game where it was also a barn-burner (GB lost by 1 pt to Pittsburgh, 36-37)..i feel it's gonna be another close one as both teams are eerily similar, almost like a mirror image of each other.. Good luck to both teams and hope madbad won't need to call his own ambulance towards the end..
Haha, don't worry Chris, I will have lots of Steeler supporters at my side in case I need any such help. Out of interest, the "experts' at ESPN are calling for an average GB win of a TD or more. Las Vegas has GB by 2.5-3 points. All of us Steeler fans are rejoicing at these calls. Love it that they underestimate the black and gold. What's your call?
..since you asked, the way i see it: GB barely won over a Philly team which played badly (PHI's kicker missed 2 FGs).. GB ran all over a hyped-up Dirty Bird team.. GB barely squeaked by a Bears team with a better defense and avg offense.. ..on the other hand.. The Steel Curtain also barely won against J-E-T-S and Ravens (both with very good D but avg offense)... ..so my call is.........................................................i don't know~sorry..
..actually i was gonna say Da NY Giants are gonna win it.. ..anyway, i'll be skipping this yr's SB and the SB partey (for other reasons) but hopefully you'll enjoy the SB and see a happy ending on Sunday night..
Looks like Cowboy Stadium is more advanced . Just saw on the news it will be 22 Celcius and no wind @ gametime inside. For the one in Amsterdam I think they have the corners open permanently for the grass which they had a lot of trouble with early on.
Ajax plays at a proper stadium I suppose. It still doesn't matter, Aaron R. and co will conquer Ben and Mendenhall, that's my take. Don't care about predicting how it's gonna happen. Just want it to be a great match for both. May the better team win (on the day)! Hopefully Aa-Rod's GB!
The Packing Winners did it! Hooray for Aaron and co., Green Bay deserves this one, boy aren't they resourceful?
Oh! And I might add, Brett Favre can retire and unretire all he wants but if comes back to GB (which I find it unimaginable), he should only be a depth chart filler or bluntly speaking, the reserve of Aaron Rodgers for a change!
madbad, ...did I say prior that they'll be pretty even (well, I predicted initially that they'll each hv one TD which wasn't the case, then, someone makes a blunder from either side; anyways...) until 'someone' makes mistakes that'll tear them asunder? To be honest, I was honestly fearful (fearful, because I was really in to the game) it could happen to either teams. Fortunately, GB proves the more resourceful team. I hope you enjoyed the game till past the point of ''abandon all hope'' stage...you know.
A repeat though is like the New Orleans Saints...just a thought. Aaron has to savor this one real good and try to be among today's top quarterbacks; the Mannings and Tom Brady. Sorry Drew B and Ben R, both of em are good enough but not Tom and Peytonesque yet but A. Rodgers can prove that he can be an elite among the current top of the crops!
It will be difficult for GB to repeat. Just like the Saints, they just don't have solid running game unless they upgrade it next year. And as you said, Aaron is solid but not at Peyton and Tom B's level yet. A superbowl team must be solid in both offense, defense, passing and running games like the 49er's in the 80's and Cowboys in the 90's.
GB qualified as a last minute wildcard entry and went on to win Superbowl, that is already an awesome achievement. Whether GB can repeat, let GB, Aaron and their fans savor this one, after all, how many quarterback can even win one Superbowl playing an entire career...just ask Dan Marino.
Yep, Dan Marino wasn't as lucky as John Elway doing a back to back in his final years then retiring; a fairy tale indeed. Both are great but not all of them wins, that's a painful reality. Hope Aaron Rodgers will be more like a Tom Brady!
