Have to give this info :

My brother is a good player with an explosive smash using mp66. After all his mp66 is broken, he switched to low end armortecs and also pro ace racquets . But all those other racquets could not give him that explosive mp66 smash. Since ti10 is a great racquet to me and hoping that he got back that explosive smash, I gave him a ti10 as a present.

But after a week using it, he decided to give it back to me because he was uncomfortable with it and losing games. I also observed that the explosive mp66 smash is still not there.

The only explanation that I can figure out is that, it is because the mp66 is flexible and ti10 is stiff while both being headlights.

So it seems that the ti10 does pose problems for some strong smashers after all.

Nowhere to be found nowadays...that's the sad story of yonex lately : always producing new and new racquets and discontinuing the others :(

ah, ar dan just sold his mp66.
maybe you can ask him to have a look around HK for you, he's a nice guy and normally will help others trying to buy racquets from overseas.

Paid SGD 160 for the first one.
Paid SGD 175 for the second one.
They are both the new model - except that one is yellow and the other is purple.

Some insist that the old one is better.
Well, why on earth would Yonex offer a new, worse model?
To me, the new one is better, if not a great deal better.

    It's the new model.

Ha! That's what punchclear revealed :p
In fact, I bought it more for the similarity in its cone number to the one I already had.

Yup, I want to know also the differ between Yellow and Purple Ti-10.
I've heard the purple is less stiff than yellow one.
what about the overall any big different.

So are there any obvious differences between the yellow and purple version of Ti-10 other than the paint job?

How stiff is the new Ti-10 compared with the likes of NS9000 and AT700?

    Thanks

    stiffness between Ti-10 vs Ns9000 vs AT700
    Ti-10 (yellow) = NS 9000 > AT 700
    that is my personal feeling.
My feeling Ti has the same stiffness with NS9k, while at700 is less stiffer.

The yellow Yonex Ti-10 has the phrase 'High Modulus Graphite' (HMG).
The purple Yonex Ti-10 has the phrase 'Ultra High Modulus Graphite' (UHMG).

Perhaps the extra long phrasing will be comforting to some players.
I have both the models... and I often switch racquets during play.

In my opinion as a user, they are both just the same thing ;)

Just went to Queensway SC to check out on the purple Ti-10. I was offered the same price of $180 at two shops I went to. Will it be a lot cheaper if buy in numbers? I was thinking to gather those interested to buy together. :)
