    1st
    comment on team event 1st

    we start from group matches
    1st tie against singapore,
lai/ng leading 19-16 in the 1st set and lost
again in 3rd set, they also leading 19-17 and lost again
if not,it will be a 5-0 over sg

malaysia did no problem to beat france

in 3rd tie(to determine who enter semis)
chooi/ng did well to win the crucial point,if not, japan will be in final, not mas
thanks to both top japan ws and ms not on form, iskandar and tee had beat them comfortly
the defeat in md is expectable,as i said before,chooi/ow is the better pair
it is a disaster that mas wd lost 2-21 to fukuman naoka/sayaka takahashi
both ng and lai didnt have any good mood after the defeat:(

    in semi
mas coach did a stupi mistake to field the food poisoned iskandar, they should have let him rest:mad:
again, mas strongest xd survive a tough resistent and win the crucial point.
hsu jen hao is good but i think syawal can beat him if been field,i know syawal is disapointed about the coach decision
and tee jing yi again become the heroin for mas:)

    in the final
again, mas coach did a stupid mistake again here.
eventhough chooi request to be concentrated on md,but i still think that field the strongest pair in xd is necessary as to increase the chance to steal one point, but instead of that, mas coach field ow patnering ng.
and,the 1st stupid mistake backfired in ms,if syawal can play in semis,he wont need time to get the feeling and get used to the court,in the end,we lost 2nd point
anyhow, china did a great job, beaten mas 3-0 to revenge about ajc team event final lost.

    for individual event
    xd
ow/lai did nothing wrong, reaching quater final and steal a set from the 1st seed, should be a semi finalist next year:)

yew/ong lost to lee chun hei/poon lok yan in tight 3 set
it is a dispointed as both player is good
yew should be upset that ykh split him and ow,but he didnt manage to impress ykh yet AGAIN in xd,ong didnt reach her peak after injury i think:rolleyes:
    anyhow,lee/poon did a great job:)

tan wee tat(tan wee kiong brother)/shevon lost to watanabe tatsuya/misato aratama, well, both are 17 years old this year,it is quite unacceptable that double specialist lost to a single specialist(watanabe)

    chooi/ng
mas strongest xd pair lost to the eventual champion in 3 set, quite reasonable an expected:)

sonia did a good job to beat sayaka takahashi in a tight game
she is more matured than ajc i can say
and she almost beat chen xiao jia,if she did,i pretty confident she will be in semis base on the draw, too bad she didnt

yang li lian defeat is quite a disapointed one for me,she should have win in 2 set
    2 more years to go.

    florah ng
her skill and footwork is good but
    what to say?
she lack of self confident and the aura of match winner

i can sense that tee jing yi set her mind right in this tournament
beat jandapol, tse ying suet quite easily
but then lost to suo di,she should have beat her and march into semis, too bad,ur junior career ended here

    iskandar did all he can
defeated pisit, hsu jen hao and li yi sheng end route to the final
but still lost to a better thw,thw is the better one.
i think u will regret in the rest of ur life for unable to beat thw in both final(same like lcw for og final:p)

zulfadli almost beat the champion there, even closer than what iskandar can do,too bad:(

    ramdam lost tamely to thw
he tend to die soon if he meet either thw and iskandar(ajc semis)
hmm, need to sharpen ur smash in future;)

syawal lost unexpectablely,if not,he would have advance to quater facing watanabe
anyway,he got the talent that others didnt have, but his body strenght is weaker than the otehr 3:(

ng/lai almost beat rodjana/sapsiree to reach semis
anyway, this is the best they can do i believe

ong/shevon defeat to the vietnam pair is:(
on paper, they should have be able to beat the vietnam pair and the hk pair to reach semis:(
too bad they did perform to their expactation:(

    md
if pang/ong didnt lost the 1st set against the thai pair, they can reach semis i believe and it might be a all mas final but too bad, they didnt:(

    well done to chooi/ow
both of u didnt made ykh disapointed
    played well:D:D:D:D:D

Sonia could have beatenChen XJ and she has caught her in many of her shots but her shots was out slightly. She was a surprise package and she has many crowd and linemans rooting for her.

Hopefully, she would keep her cool and composure like what she did in AS and
and improveon her strenght and speed then i would say she would be a good surprise for Ratchanok.

Lilian could have won if she has kept her cool. anyway she has 2 years to go. She and Sonia have different style and will be good for Malaysia in the Team Event in years to come. (2 of them are good friends)

Tee JingYi- could have done better in a good draw like hers. She should be a semi finalist to meet Ratchanok.

Flora- not confident in her game.Should have performed better

Iskandar- i would say he has done his best.I would think he could not match Tian even in his best days.Unless Tian is really off form.Tian is better in all aspect like skills, mental, agility and execution.

Shawal- too tends to be too fancy. Need to change his attitude in court in order to far.

Zulfadli- our malaysian hopeful next year. Need to have more intensive training and it would be good if he can join BAM.

Ramdan- he played to his best ability and would said that he has gone as far as he could.

MD- Ow/Chooi- what is there to say other than they have rosetothe occassion.Congrat Malaysia.

Pang/Goh- did not performed as well as they did in AJC.

    GD-

Lai/Ng- reasonable performance but could have done better.

Shervon/Ong - did not take advantage of a good draw. Partnership lacks of aggression.

Our juniors from my observation ...

I saw Iskandar, Shawal & CKM/Ow in action and my observation are as follows:

    1. Iskandar - average shuttler. Was totally outplayed in all departments in the final last night.
    2. Shawal - another average shuttler. Played with a lot of style but without any depth. Wont go far.
    3. CKM/Ow - was very lucky to win, especially when they were 4 match point down. The Ina pair was just not steady enough to finish them off. I dont see CKM/Ow going far in the senior circuit because technically they are just average.
In summary, dont be misguided by CKM/Ow victory last night.

Well, Liverpool do have 18 league titles and 5 European Cups.

Of course standards have to be set high when we are competing in the international circuit. But I guess, if you set your standards around the level of Batu Gajah or Kajang or Lorong Hj Taib kinda levels, then I agree with you, my standards are indeed high.

If these kids are to replace the current crop of players we got today, they better shape up or they will be just another yeoh kay bin. To be a wrld beater, you cant just aim to be a high standard player, you got to aim to be the BEST player. SOrry limsy, i have to agree with pemuda.
