Yup, next year there won't be any World Championship and Rian-Yoke is a bit late in their contention to be one of the maximum 3 pairs per country according to the 2008 Olympic qualification rule. The rule said max 3 pairs out of the top 4. If this rule is not fulfilled, then max 2 in the top 16 [I think]. It is very improbable that Rian-Yoke are part of the top 4 in the world by May 2008... And in the top 16, there are Kido-Hendra, Luluk-Alven, and Joko-Hendra AG.... PBSI will most likely send Kido-Hendra and Luluk-Alven for next year's Olympics... So... realistically, Rian-Yoke should aim for the 2009 World Championship...
go rian sukmawan!!! go go go go go rian!!! good luck for all upcoming tournaments.. SEMANGAT!!! all the best!!!
Rian-Yoke is seeded #5 in next week's Indonesia Challenge and probably will play the #3 seed Chang Hun Pin-Chang Peng Soon in the quarterfinals... If they can pass this MAS pair, then I think Rian-Yoke can meet Alroy-Wai Ho [seed#1] in the semis and Mohd. Razif Abdul Latif-Khoo Chung Ciat [seed#2] in the finals...
the "chang" 's pair will be no pushover . They could go all the way.. provided their ability to overcome the pressure from INA supporters inside the staidum
Good good, I will personally go to Surabaya for the quarterfinals to watch Rian-Yoke versus Chang-Chang... Naturally, I will shout aloud and help 'pressure' the Changs...
I'm pretty sure Rian-Yoke can beat Peng Soon aka Rain (nickname as he looks Korean) and Hun Pin.. Haha.. Rian vs Rain. FAINT.
HAHAHA!!! But i agree Peng Soon does look like a korean (abit *ABIT like Rain too. ) *faint LMAO.. Rian vs Rain. SHOULD be nice.
Koreans [and Korean looking people] are usually good at MD. Rain might be dangerous. Ha ha ha... Rian have to beware...
There's a good chance Rian/Yoke might win the Indonesia Satellite given the mass withdrawal of MAS pairs They only have Hui Wai Ho/Alroy Tanama Putra and the veteran pair of Tri Kusharyanto/Bambang Suprianto to contend with.
Rian-Yoke gotta win Indonesia Challenge! This Indonesia Challenge tournament is a good warm-up for them... the real difficult tasks are ahead in Chinese Taipei Open [if they are going...]. India Open is most probably cancelled. Ants told all of us in another thread that due to the Hyderabad bombings, the organizers decided to cancel. Maybe it is better for Rian and Yoke not to go there [right now]...
Suicide. That's bad.. I mean less chance to go Europe tour now that they won't possibly participate in India Open.. :crying:.. cuz what Djarum's boss wants is good results in those GP tourneys.
Rian-Yoke is in the quarterfinals of Indonesia Challenge. Will face Yoo Yeon Seong-Kwon Yi Goo from Korea.
Rian-Yoke is now in the semifinals... They will face Alroy-Wai Ho of Hong Kong tomorrow night... Fran Kurniawan-Ade Lukas is in the other semifinal match against younger clubmates Wifqi-Alfiat...
OMG! I'm so happy for Rian!!! *ha Means he has chance to win Indonesia Challenge??? Krisna, 2 days ago he called me on the phone.. I was damn shocked cuz his English is getting better and better.. I was on the bus going to camp, so it was very nosiy.. At first I didn't realise it was him.. My phone showed +86 which should be a China number?? Weird.. But he said "It's me, Rian!".. Then only I realised it was him.. and that he was staying at the hotel in Surabaya. I asked if he's going to India, he said nope.. Going to Taipei, he said yup.. Going to DENMARK, he said don't know.. :crying:
WooooooW!! My guess is that he's really happy cuz he's in the semis now... Hahahahahahahhha.. Good for him, hope he can win!!
Wow...Rian called u ? Maybe he has a crush on you...hehe I think he's definitely going to the remaining Gold GPs like Chinese-Taipei and Macau (with one week of rest in between). As for Denmark, it's unlikely since Rian/Yoke has not climbed up the ladder enough. Maybe they are in for the Bitburger and Dutch Open like last year?
